  1. I try but am nowhere near the league of Big H TNT1 Holy Roller
  2. Hey PB, just a thought, i had my Yamaha sorted with braided hoses, would a normal motorbike retailer not be able to assist you? if you have all the goodies but just need the hose they might be able to help. just a thought, but being a rider yourself you have more than likely tried this route already.
  3. Spartan, this is gonna be a goodie, maybe you should take your pick of the top 5 in your view and add a poll?
  4. The E 90 is also an awesome phone. I loved mine before it was redistributed to the masses. Saffer2009-01-15 06:46:36
  5. That is freaky... We had a similar experience on a motorbike a few months ago... the car in front of us stopped at a red robot and as we came up next to them, the passenger tried to get out, we hit the door, bent it in half and messed the front of the bike. Fortunately it was slow and we were already stopping for the light. Only injuries were a broken wrist and a scratched helmet.
  6. Try the new FELT Q620. it is about R6500.00 and really not too bad for what you are spending.
  7. Yea, I tend to agree, I only started using riding shoes about a month ago... and they make a big difference. the MTB shoes also have a tread on them, similar to hiking boots etc, so when you do have to get off the bike and climb rocks and such, you are still able to grip. If you are going to bu some though, just make sure the tread is decent and not solid plastic as this also slips quite a lot.
  8. Look folks, i was expresing an opinion and my choice not to go back. I understand i might have ruffeled a few feathers but hey welcome to the hub... Err about that hunting!!!
  9. there were a few ppl in uniform mulling around, every time max headed toward them they headed off to someone else, if all i needed was the spares i'd have just left but i needed some prices too... so i waited.
  10. Trust me i woulda but had the missus with me and she does not like my "IMPATIENCE" so i tried to stick it out... Epic fail none the less.
  11. The missus and i popped into cyclelab yesterday morning to have some work done on her back wheel. I had never been in there before but it was on our way so we decided to give it a try. All i needed was a new Tube, and some tyre levers. We stood there like idiots for 25min, not a single sales person came over and asked to help. I then went and fetched the stock i needed and went to the till to pay and get out. Here i waited for anoter 10 minutes and still no assistance. I can say one thing for sure, I will not be going back there. I'd rather drive the extra 15km or so an go to my regular and get decent service and have it all done in less time.
  12. I'm digging the new Kings o Leon CD...

Hey fellow hubbers... I have a mate looking at purchasing a new toy. He has been looking at one of these, Any comments? Is it decent? anything better for the same money? Please assist as it is time he bought his own bike and stopped borrowing one... http://www.felt.co.za/q720.html Thanking you in advance.
  21. Couches and smarties are the best things to get in the classifieds.
  22. I have a few extra pounds when someone gives me riding gear to wear i think they are looking at the big picture rather than how doff i look in their kit. it costs them almost the same to make a medium shirt as it does to make a xxl shirt. this way the are getting a bigger advert for less money. I cover a fair amount of advertising space for them. (Picture the good year blimp for example.)
  23. sure looks pink to me, but then what do us boys really know about that stuff? Does it taste like beer?
  24. Hi Di Wayne, Olivedale, Ride (MTB) most weekends northern farms and spruit. Missus is Maxine, Rides an MTN but prefers to do it on the road. We should maybe meet at northerns one weekend and start a safety group. Your house can not be more than about 3km from mine... Anyone else in the area interrested? (Please remember we are beginners and are not doing heavy mileage just yet).
  25. Hey Wonder Woman, I'm with you there. When I do not like riding on my own... I am big enough and ugly enough to look after myself but it is way too boring and lonely. I ride for fun. I know it might sound a bit male chauvinist but i do not even let my missus ride around the block alone... let alone do some serious distance training. Where do you ride? I'm sure my lil lady could use a few more riding partners.
