Training only now starting to pick up after a 2½ month lay-off after the Dash and the weather also not playing along. Hopefully I can still make a difference in these next 4½ weeks. I did put in quite a lot of miles for the Dash, but I don't think I can ride this one on latent fitness and muscle memory

Did my training in that! That 90mm was something else. Rumour had it you had to stop to fire it otherwise it would strip the gearbox and you couldn't fire it sideways as it would topple the car over! We never tried it though. It was ***-en-hare in the turret when that thing went off... Also the carburetors on those Chevy motors were always stolen as it was a Webber double barrel down-draught or something like that...

You can ride the tank all day and it let's you play with all sorts of interesting buttons and things...

Well, I hope they clear it up before next week Wednesday when I go through there.

Technically not. The Ratel had space for up to 6 troops in the back, and can be considered an APC. The Rooikat has no space for additional troops - it was only the gunner, driver, team commander and I think one more for communications. It's a mean piece of kit if used correctly. That is a Rooikat. Nice and big inside, drives over anything and as comfortable as my Discovery 4. And if I remember correctly, carries a 105mm gun...

I could see that storm from Potch, no jokes! I was out riding and still thought to myself that if that thing turned and came our way, I'd be in a heap of trouble as I had nowhere to hide.

Started in D and got away with a guy named Alex. Got stuck behind some girls from B who missed all the berms going down the supertube and then stuck behind B girls again on the Kwagga climb where Alex got away. It was "lippe teen die klippe" all the way, but good fun! I'm no expert, but I enjoyed the track - looks like it catered for everyone. Just a comment on the pathetic drinks table at the finish with only 2 people helping and no Coke/cold water! Come on guys, you can do better than that!
