When a front shock (Reba) is locked out should there be any travel?

And you were going to need that to fund your Shimano upgrade

I actually looked at the SRAM stuff and it seem solid but I don't really know it and since I'm a person of habit I'll stick to shimano. But...... if I had the funds for the X0 I would seriously consider it. On the topic of hijacking - anybody use the twist grip?

I'm looking to replace my groupset (some of it in any case) and was looking at the LX and SLX. I have two questions - 1- Am I correct in that the SLX replace the LX? 2- If answer to 1 is yes then is it still work getting a LX groupset if the price is good? I know this is bottom of the range but for now it is about as much as I can spend.
