  1. It's me. Glad you like the LeJeune Dillon.
  2. That will look great in my display cabinet , won't work for my old legs up Suikerbossie though
  3. Hectic!
  4. What is the lightest gear at the back DJR, 23?
  5. This is the Colnago Master I am using for the Argus. She is a 7 speed. All Campagnolo Record accept for the calipers and rear derailleur that are Chorus. Biggest gear at back is a 24, but I still have time to get something bigger. Someone got some Record compact chainrings for me?
  6. That C50 looks super fast. Beautiful.
  7. Coming soon
  8. So who is doing the Cape Town Cycle Tour (Argus) on a vintage bike? And if so which bike will it be? I am doing it on my Colnago Master.
  9. Jip, also not using any of my Italian bikes using my LeJeune with Shimano 105.
  10. I refitted my Viner with some of my special Campy parts so here she is.
  11. Man that is a beauty. The elusive Cinelli that is still missing from my collection.
  12. I suppose it could be, was also thinking that. The headset cups fits into it perfectly though and it works very well I tested it on one of my old steel frames.
  13. I acquired some interesting vintage bicycle tools recently. Still in working condition but just keeping them as part of my collection. Vintage Bicycle Bike Wheel Truing Stand Tool Old Cast Iron. Vintage Cast Iron Headset press. I found some information on the truing machine but nothing on the headset press. Anyone come across one before?
  14. Colnago Master with Arabesque lugs
  15. Beauty LC.
  16. Thanks Vic, I checked that Chorus crank that I do not have the non drive side one for, it is a 170. Let me know if you have a spare one.
  17. Anyone know what make these vintage downtube shifters are? .

  19. I try and keep all my bikes original. Only my DHC has been resprayed but only because the previous owner left it outside and the paint work was completely shot. IMHO all this frame needs is a good wash and some Cobra polish.
  20. Hey Anton, glad you are enjoying the Petini.
  21. The lugs on my Master looks very Arabesque.
  22. I must agree my best finds have been through treasure hunts, by word of mouth, like the Bianchi I bought from Cash Crusaders and the Peugeot that I bought from my cupboard guys mate who had been hanging it in his garage for 14 years, and don't forget about the bike I bought from Oom Koos who did one Argus and then hung the bike in his garage for 22 years. I don't mind paying for a good vintage bike, but no need to pay exorbitant prices.
  23. Guys thanks for all the advice on the Colnago Super. Sadly the bike was to small for me but went to a good home with one of my vintage collector friends here in Cape Town. It did however pave the way for me getting my hands on the Colnago Master that has been missing from my collection. Here are some picture of her after a good wash and polish.
  24. Is this a Colnago Super Piu. I have researched and this is the closest I can get to?
  25. Took the Viner for a spin to Melkbosstrand.
