  1. Stunning, thanks for sharing.
  2. Say no more that is a really nice frame.
  3. My Penpal Robert Cobcroft sent me this link with some info http://veloaficionado.com/the-bianchi-x4-code/. He is an Australian collector and a fundi on Bianchis.
  4. Thanks for this Javadude, I read up on the Freuler Geometry very interesting.
  5. I am more of a Retro steel frame fanatic but this Alu Colnago was advertised at a steal with a full 9 speed Veloce groupset and beautiful Ambrosio rims with Campagnolo hubs so I couldn't resist. It is a Colnago Chic (Alu frame with Flash Carbon fork). The owner says that he bought the bike from Alan van Heerden about 10 years ago who in his opinion was the Colnago agent at the time. The bike has been standing on an indoor trainer for the last five years (even still has the trainer tyre on). Can you Colnago fundis let me in on how to measure the frame size on this Colnago. I checked online but everyone seems to have a different opinion.
  6. Latest discovery, a Petini built by SA frame builder Duncan MacIntyre.
  7. For all us Campy freaks
  8. Nice man, some really special parts on that beauty.
  9. Wish I had a brother in law with a bike like this to gift me. Beautiful.
  10. Maybe Rolfalps has a nice 70's frame size 58 that takes a clamp on fd and downtube shifters in his collection. I see he invited you to come and checkout his bikes
  11. Bring something back for me from Durban
  12. Dura Ace Handlebar stem with an internal clamp bolt. A real beauty.
  13. Nice thanks for sharing, is that you on the bike next to the Zeus?
  14. Got these vintage Dura Ace calipers. Someone decided to paint them green. Started stripping them using paint stripper only to discovered that they were black anodised and some of the anodising came off in the process. Panic, what to do. Checked online and discovered that oven cleaner takes off anodising. Quite a process but managed to clean up the first set and polish it up. Now have to re-energise to do the other one. On another matter this is my new favourite toy for cleaning surface rust from small chromed parts
  15. Busy shining up this Dura Ace first generation crankset.
  16. I think black will balance everything out. Yellow housing may be a bit to much.
  17. Hi Greg, check your email. I sent you the photos last week and again last night.
  18. I have some Mavics will send you some pictures. I am in Cape Town though.
  19. When does entry for this ride open?
  20. Looking for barrel adjusters for this set of Campagnolo calipers if someone have some in one of their old boxes.
  21. That is a really nice looking bike. Love the colour.
  22. I need a set of these
  23. You are correct Javadude I did go and check the rates on the Colissimo Post Office site and for the weight the charge is right. The seller and I came to an agreement on the extra charge over and above the 30 Euros that I paid and the parts are on its way to Cape Town.
  24. Some Shimano 600 Arabesque parts arrived from Hungary today.
