Hi guys, I need some suggestions. My wife and I are planning 'n lekker getaway for 4-5 days middle of December, and we are looking at going somewhere where we can take our mountain bikes with. Wishlist: 1. Lekker trails/or places to cycle 2. The more secluded the better 3. Does not have to be 5-star, but at least clean and en-suite. Contraints: 1. Limited to South Africa, but will consider anywhere in SA 2. About R 10-15k budget MAX excluding flights (so for meals and accommodation and what not) 3. It has to be perfectly safe 4. It has to be mountain bike routes! Any suggestions will be welcome, from coast to game farms, except probably somewhere in the Northern Cape, because I am from there and it is flipping hot there that time of the year. I would really appreciate any help! Thanks!

So there used to be a lone wolf roaming the streets of Stellies on a sweet El Mariachi SS (in spectacular General Lee Orange I must add, and, frankenstein parts until I get more of dem dolla dolla bills). Anyways, I was enjoying the realness of my steel steed on my way to lunch when suddenly this young wolf flashes past in front of me on an almost equally wicked ride - a Contraband Rogue! Could it be? Who is this foe I did ask! And what be your intentions my fellow road warrior? Are you a pack wolf, or shall I challenge thee to a duel?

Q: Is it possible to use a SRAM 11sp RD with a Shimano 11-42 cassette? Sub-question: Is there a ghetto-mod to make my 10sp SRAM XX Gripshift work with a 11sp SRAM RD? Or would I need to replace my gripshift, as well as my RD and cassette? This might link to the OP's post - otherwise sorry for the hijack!

Have they finished building all the way to Dornier or just to Mont Marie yet? I finished at Mont Marie but didn't see it going further although it is on their map.

Thanks Wedge Yes, sliding dropouts! (Horizontal dropouts are open at the back, and the quick release/through axle goes through the dropout, where as with the sliders they are closed - Flowta/Hairy/Bogus help with the explanation please man!) It's for my fiance - still waiting for mine (not a STR) from Grant Usher (It's General Lee orange, and has swiveling/alternator dropouts)! Will post it as soon as I receive it, hopefully before the end of this week. Edit: Changed DHL to Grant Usher

Guys! Does anybody know if/where I'll be able to buy/beg a Salsa El Mariachi frame in R of SA? Saw one this weekend and it looks sweet. Looking to sell one of my kidneys for a ss frame. Does anyone have some experience with it? (With the Salsa, not my kidney).
