  1. any idea what the weather will be like?
  2. New bike day Bought the Cannondale Slate just before lockdown, went for a 60km ride today, can see the Synapse not being used as much as before. This bike loves the deteriorating roads.
  3. I usually do, but realised I weren't getting anything resembling my salary end of April, don't know how long these beers still need to last
  4. another month gone and weight also coming down, slowly but coming down. wonder if having so much time, so little money and the feeling of utter gatvolgeid over lockdown helped to keep weight off? but then again I only bought 3 cases of beer before lockdown (more than 2 cases still left) and kept myself pretty busy on Zwift for the past month or so

  7. down just more than 10kg's in two months, staying off the booze and on the bike is sure making a hell of a difference
  8. was really tempted to enter seeing it's still open, but ouch economy not allowing it at this stage maybe next year again
  9. So not doing the annual beer fest combined with a social ride around the peninsula I decided to really get my **** together and try and eat healthier and to get of the beer for a while. Lets see how February turns out, haven't loss any noticeable weight this year although I'm averaging about 200km a week on the bike (but eating like a pig & drinking like a fish) Hold thumbs
  10. Was too afraid to enter, I don't have a permit and didn't want a broken arm
  11. Wow, what an absolute blast I had the last 2 months. Was a pain in the a$$ the fist couple of weeks but as the weight started vanishing and the fitness picked up I actually enjoyed going for a ride or a run. Stats for the 2 months Ride 1095.2km Run 68.4km (only running as I need to get fit, going on a holiday and I will not be able to take my bike with, second best I guess would be to go for run.) Weight down from 124.7kg to 113.5kg this morning. Things I did that worked for me, had my last alcohol 15 Jan, a week later I could feel the results were getting "real". (however I miss my beer) Started calorie counting all my meals, this basically bulsh!ts my brain into thinking my allotted food for the day is gone, so no more eating. Will just stick with this for next couple of months to see where it leads, but I know from here on weight will drop slower, as there is no way of keeping up a loss of 5kgs a month. One positive is that my blood pressure went down (a lot).
  12. 6.1kg for the month, more than happy. Sick now, on antibiotics for tonsillitis, although my tonsils was removed 40 years ago. No training till Monday again (think I'll sneak a short ride in tomorrow) I MISS BEER (23 days and counting)
  13. 2nd day under 120kg, staying focused and getting some training done. Man I miss beer!
