  4. An exemplary cricketer and a brave and true commentator whose commentary was based on superb knowledge of and what was best for the game and never on what was best for the politicians and suits that run the game. Never a lackey!! RIP Hylton!
  5. ....after the maiden ride this has now been altered to 3 modern goods. The Rolls saddle will be used for ceremonial duties only!! Hell it gave me a pain in the ar$e!!!
  6. Nope!! VAT only. Duties apply only to importing of complete bicycles if memory serves me right.
  7. Well I needed to help E1 strip the bike for cleaning etc and you should have seen the wifes face when we wheeled it into the house!!!!
  8. If it wasn't that big I could have had a relapse!! Thank the heavens. We did however pick up another Battaglin stray this morning but it is E1A1's for parts!! Frame also a 60cm CTC (too big again) so it may appear here soon for sale. Very unusual yellow colour scheme with no chroming bar the driveside chainstay.
  9. Just finished the Battaglin and the only modern goods on it are Conti Gatorskins and Fizik bar tape!! Remember reading a while back of a Hubber having a blonde moment when he assembled his pedals ar$e about face and I had a similar one. While fitting the brake levers on the bars I was trying to route the brake cable through the front and out the back as per normal. Well after a good 10 minutes I got into my Goran Ivanisevic mode being a Croat and was just about ready for the toss over the neighbours wall!!! Low and behold these levers are pre Aero era so the cable feeds through the top of the hoods!! Well irritating!!
  10. Mine on this thread???? https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=35189&get=last#894956

  19. I have no idea! Would it look good on my Hanson? IMO this hansom has to be fitted with Shimano 600 i.e. biopace cranks I think thats the original setup. cos the two that have passed through my hands have been equipped like this. The one in fact had quite a beautiful light green metallic anodized finish 600 groupset. BUT' date=' I stand corrected if thats not the case.[/quote'] .... I may hace "600" bits and pieces lying around !!!
