  1. I see the da are on the rock hopper website but still I cannot find it with CGC and I do not even know if NG has a website to use. If we want to grow this side of the sport people should at least know where to find the race dates.
  2. I have been with Epic for years and the service that I got from Andre has always been great. That is one of the reasons I keep going back.
  3. Hi to all the people in Currie Cup Country (a Sharks supporter myself) I am going down to the South Coast in december like most of the other Valies but we will be staying at Natalia and I need somer advise on the routes I can ride. This is base training time for me so I will take my road bike and need to find some routes where I can do 3 to 4 hours per day. Please also let me know if there are any areas I should avoid or raods that are not safe. Thank you very much.
  4. The majority of the racing is marathon type racing and even though we have Burry as a U23 WC we do not seem to wnat to race XC that often. Is it because it is "more technical". I have a number of friends that are strong road riders but avoid certain MTB races because of they are too technical. Must say still love having all the races across our amazing country
  5. Lets hope after last weeks flat that Burry has seen the end of his bad luck for the weekend and gets to wear the RAinbow jersey. Goodluck to all our riders.
  6. Amazing, it is so ugly nobody even considered what it weighs.
  7. There is a parking lot in front of the monument building and then the trail starts near the restaurant. It is well marked. Enjoy the ride is does burn the legs abit
  8. Just filled up both cars for the week and I made usre to go teh extra distance to get to an Engen. Thank you Engen for supporting Cyclists
  9. Hi All We often complain about things that go wrong but I definitely want to tell a story were I received exceptinal service. One of the rear carbon seatstays on my Scalpel broke and every person I spoke to said that it was an extremely odd looking break for carbon. This kind of brake would typically happen when caused by external impact. I explained to the guys that it was a brand new bike that has never left my sight and has not been banged on anything. After some inspection the local guys agreed with me and submitted the claim to the States. The States had one look at and declined the claim, a second claim with a motivation and some more pictures were submitted, but unfortunately the states declined again. By this time I was personally ready to give up but the guys from Omnico gave me a a loan frame to use in the meanwhile and persisted to follow it up with the states. As a final attemtpt the guys from Omnico locally cut the piece of carbon from the frame and took it to the states to go show them that it was not damaged due to an exsternal impact and fortunately they agreed to replace the frame under the warranty. From my side I would like to say a big thank you to Nigel from Omnico for the the trouble he went through as well as Andre from Epic Sports who assisted with the entire process. I rode the Kalahari Challenge over the weekend and loved the Scalpel. Thank you so much Paul Gerber
  10. To Bruce and Family, I have no words to even start and therefor I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts as only He can offer some mending to a broken heart. Paul
  11. Try the sports science institute at RAU. They can apparently offer some good assistance.
