One thing though, I won't leave the chain overnight in the engine cleaner (eish, is that correct?). As the grey beard wise one says, in the cleaner, scrub. Then into an old water bottle, shake it up with a bit of Clean Green and boiling water (dankie oom H), then shake it up with boiling water and that's that.

All depends. I use the Park Tool "green" grease for load bearing stuff (cranks, etc) and plain white grease (can't remember the brand) to prevent metal fusion.
