  1. I agree with all the Eat less comments. Google intermittent fasting. Been doing it for 6 months, lost 20+ kgs, no supplementation and eating whatever I want to. I eat Lunch and Supper, if i want to eat something in between I do. Dont waste money on products when your body is equipped to do it by itself. Use the money wisely, like spending it on your bike or kit or something of the sort.
  2. If you dont come right finding a 2nd hand bike here then have a look at this. http://www.bridgecycles.co.za/CAAD8
  3. Looks like it. So stupid to use the Cycle Factory logo too
  4. Fear keeps one loyal, if they are afraid they have something to lose, they'll do what you tell them to Did the CS guys give you an original pinarello with the money they made selling the OP a fake?
  5. Talk about some commuters. Two weeks ago I saw two guys cycling on the wrong side of the road, in between the fast lane and the centre Island of a dual carriage way.
  6. If you are able to spend a bit more, then Im sure you can get a decent bike. If I had known prior to getting my first road bike and wanting something entry level or there about I would have gone for the Cannondale CAAD 8 Tiagra, then it was retailing for R12500, now at bridge cycles in Diep River its going for R9500. http://www.bridgecycles.co.za/CAAD8 I am a bit biased towards cannondale cos thats the brand of my next bike
  7. Eina for CS if it is true that Pinarello International is suing them and Schnavels friends dad.
  8. I will agree with this. Even though my shimano 2300 components have been good to me with the amount of riding I do, I am now looking to upgrade.
  9. As far as I know the SCR comes with Shimano Claris groupset, 8 speed, Compact crank and 12-25 cassette. I have a bike with the same setup and when I started using it I was 107kgs. My personal experience was that it is sufficient for long climbs.
  10. The anomaly that humans struggle with all the time LOL.
  11. Ah, well I spotted a 2012 Supersix 5 105 going for R18k or in that region. Thats the will power or lack thereof.....2014 Supersix evo 5 105, 2014 Supersix evo 5 105, 2014 Supersix evo 5 105. Come on you can do it
  12. I must admit, my neighbours KTM was super nice. Just had a look at the Revelator prime
  13. Is there any major difference between the 2012 supersix 5 105 and 2014 supersix evo 5 105?
  14. Just sent you a PM
  15. Anyone from Cape Town doing this one?
  16. Some people care about how others view their integrity and others don't. Could also be with the amount of scamsters around that people just want to seal the deal, get the cash and move on.
  17. You make a valid point with ride a 30k bike 10-20 days a year. As for the training benefit, maybe it will be more psycological than physiological.
  18. Then i will have to wait even longer. I am favouring the Cannondale supersix evo 5 105 @ R24k. Just depends how the Will power goes.
  19. Being the first cycling date, the question is "did you let her beat you?"
  20. That thought crossed my mind
  21. Met a guy on the road today, he said I should keep my 11.5kg tank and use it for training, and when I get a carbon bike, use it on racedays. Is this a wise idea?
  22. Yip, will definitely be the course of action I take. Thanks again to whoever gave valuable advice
  23. Instead of going down vanguard, it would be safer to go down Townsend road, till you get to Liberty Grand, cross voortrekker road and turn left into Vanguard. It will be much easier, because you would have by passed the bus stops and the stretch between Frans Conradie and Voortrekker.
  24. The CAAD 10 was a bike that I was looking at. There is just something about Cannondale that I like.
