  8. The question I posed in the opening post was what effect it had on cycling performance.
  9. I was just curios to know if any hubber follwed the regime and if so what the results were. I dont follow a diet, I eat whatever and ride a fair deal.
  10. There are a few points that his Vegetarian Diet is different to the Low Fat Raw Vegan Diet. -He consumed tofu/soy and depending on the quantities he ate has a Carb/Fat/Protein ratio of 13% carbs, 35% fats and 52% Protein. think LCHF ratios. -Phytoestrogens which are found in soy/tofu mimics estrogen, which has led to weight gain in humans. Was his food in the vegetarian diet cooked, which could lead to nutreint loss and what was his activity levels during the vegetarian phase and then his meat eating phase. Lots of variables here to make a quick conclusion

  16. Maybe they should make cycling an extra mural activity. Like Rugby, soccer, cricket etc.
  17. Im using the shimano with float. This is what confused me as the first ride was great with no pain at all.
  18. So I recently purchased a set of road shoes, as I was using MTB shoes, but they have seen better days. I changed the pedals etc and my first ride was about 90km with no problems at all. Three days later I want for a 40km ride and had some serious knee pain on my left leg. I understand that there may be differences and I will have to keep adjusting till I find what works best. My question is, how much does Road shoe/cleat setup differ to that of MTB shoes/cleat.
  19. Do Push-ups, Tabata style.....As long as you use muscle, it wont atrophy. Most of us have more fat on our bodies than we realise and unless you can go for a DEXA scan, then you will know if you really lost muscle on your upperbody. FWIW, i dont think we lose as much muscle as the supplement companies out there say we do. Remember, when cycling, your upperbody is being used as well, although not as intensely as your leg, its used enough for your body to keep it as it is being used regularly.
  20. That seems like a lightweight compared to my 92kgs ....guess I need to hire Marcel Kittels legs to generate enough watts to keep up
  21. Marketing....and plenty of people fall for it
