  1. And unfortunately WOMZA has fizzled out due to their ideas being unsustainable in the long run. Nice refreshing approach for competitors in general, but then the gears started grinding. Anyhoo, back to the JUMA
  2. I really really really enjoy their coffees
  3. My Bosch is due for replacement. How much and from where?
  4. Should read: Please, with a front brake Cool looking bike, hope you have tons of fun!
  5. Yip, Titan Fat Carbon hubs laced to Mulefut 80mm rims with stainless spokes and brass nipples. Bought them from EvoBikes on a clearance sale late last year while recovering from broken hip, and only managed to get them tubeless'd and rear disc spacing sorted now. Really light hubs, will have to see how they hold up!!!!!
  6. Finally got round to fitting the last of my goodies onto my dikwiel: Shimano XT Trekking brakes (they have lekker long levers), 180mm IceTec rotors spaced to fit correctly at the rear, and a nice short 50mm KCNC stem This finishes a transformation of a heavy clunker to a bike that has a lekker comfy seat and riding position now, weighs a bit less and actually stops when you brake Super happy now :) :)
  7. And download a good reference manual, like the Shimano Dealers Manual, for a very good how-to (setups, torques, tool numbers, step-by-step troubleshooting, etc) on almost anything on your bike. It is well worth it to put on your laptop, then drag to the garage when you sukkel with something
  8. Mates of mine adopted Ghost, the cross Husky/Chow from Barry's eclectic fur-child collection, and when we had a braai there on Monday, he was perfectly settled in (minus his crown jewels, the poor oke!) and seemed to be enjoying his new life. He only has 2 foxy's to play with now, so he may pick up some weight now Seeing Ghost happy and settled somehow helps with the cathartic process of dealing with the passing of the B. Have a lekker weekend everyone
  9. My butt protector of choice, on my third pair in 6 years now, and I love them!!!
  10. Where'd you buy the BB?
  11. Super coffee, good online service, lekker dog to jol with when you go to their plaas, and interesting ideas like their flavoured coffee :)
  12. Just up the drag from you, 87 Main Road Curry's Post, (and also via their online store) is Terbodore Coffee roasters. I'm on my 4th KG pack of "The Great Dane" beans, and I'm really enjoying the coffee. "This is Africa" is also very good, and for something different, try the Dutch chocolate flavoured beans. Not for the purist the last one, but really easy drinking (even for kids and toddlers!)
  13. The oke from DHL just dropped off my goeters! What a man, and what incredible service Now to go hunt for high tensile M5X15 cap screws on the long weekend!
  14. Hahaha, ja they do a number on the box when they get shipped over! Those grip pins bite like hell
  15. I ordered on Monday morning 10/4/2017, and the price displayed on my shopping cart was R200 less than what went through my card. As said above, the rates are set by your credit card's bank: in my case, it was the average of the 90 day Bank buy/sell rate, but I still saved mucho dineiro vs buying locally! And the parcel will be delivered this afternoon It's incredible how the CRC team can keep such a slick logistic machine running continuously, when our local online stores always seem to have glitches, and then point fingers in every direction possible!
  16. Anyone know where the photos are that were taken on the day?
  17. That's no ***!!! Used to inject that satan juice into blisters when we were in the Air Force! Still brings a few drops of pee into my jocks, just thinking about it
  18. It was about 15km in, in the Montgomery Park section, in the piece of veld that runs close to John Adamson Drive. Chasing my mates where the path makes a fork, my brain went one way and my steed the other way. Splat and crash! I had to ride another 2 kms before my wife could come and fetch me, and that hurt like f@#K. Sh#t happens, and to not ride again because of my fault would be ridiculous. After all, you are completely in control of your bike. If it's too slippery, get off and push FFS. Check you okes there, we're going to have a jol
  19. I broke my hip doing the 22 last year, and no, not on the algaeâ˜ș Been a long recovery, so will do the 22 again. A nice day out with the wife on the bike!
  20. Not rolling resistance, "self-feeding grip"????
  21. Marking and marshalling near end of 15km was non-existent, but otherwise a lekker day out on the bike with the Mrs Fatbike was a good choice for the day, tons of fun railing it on the loamy, grippy track
  22. Nope, SunRingle tape, and a Halo rim tape. Lots of swearing, and help from some friendsâ˜ș
  23. I keep looking, something will pop up soon. CRC might suck some of my cash soon, the 105 cassette and chain rings are about 60% worn out now, so timing is getting better by the ride
  24. F#$k me, you're right! And that was the toughest tubeless conversion ever!!!! Back to swearing and fighting
