  1. It's called a camelbak I shouldnt be saying this but quite right you are. It is the camelbak that saves my macon
  2. Sean, Brendon here just wanna say, Neal & I think youre a little b!tch. Are you too good for us now that you have to upgrade like that. Ive decided you can now go ride on your own & keep to yourself. We not worthy of your new bike Kidding bud - What a buy & what a beaut she is !!!. Ill still race that pants off you, actually its the other way round but im just saying that to make myself feel better. Congrats on your new ride & c ya on Friday evening. Mabalingwe will be a good tester for you & your new ride BTW - Nice Bike !!!
  3. Sweet Ride - Dont let me catch you alone tho, ill take them wheels faster than they role
  4. Yikes thats a little steep for just a frame. Can you believe that the shop i bought the frame from said the guy bought the entire bike for 28K just for the parts so that he could put it on a 2nd hand GT carbon. Some people just have too much money i tell you
  5. Been waiting for how long to get a proper hardtail frame & eventually the B-day moneys got me my moneys worth. Got the crank swapped from my old ride to this one only yesterday so im waiting in huge anticipation to go ride. Pity i get home when its dark so ill have to wait till the weekend again. Im so proud of my ride !!!
  6. Are there no more entries available at cycle lab website ? i read somewhere there are ltd entries available, something like 1200 entries or something
  7. Couldnt find the info i was looking for on the net & some people get too carried away in their posts & try to get a little too technical for their own good on other overseas forums so please give me valuable answers & hopefully someone else has done this upgrade too. 1. I have 9spd XT shifters 2. I have XT F & R derailers 3. Need to get 9 spd casette & chain Ive read so far that if i want to upgrade 8spd to 9spd that i will need to change the chain aswell to 9spd because its a little thinner than the usual 8spd chain. My question is, besides a new casette & chain is there anything else i need to know I know that the casette will fit in my frame & freewheel as its the same size as the 8spd just the spacers are a teency bit narrower, hence needing the narrower chain Let me know if im on the right track here pleaseBumpNgrind2009-04-15 00:09:06
  8. Have to agree, in the earlier posts someone mentioned the Matt Damon article. IMHO - Tacky Im a guy for heavens sake & definately not interested in some male celeb & how he got hounded down & by "luck" got pinned whilst trying to fix the bike What a waste of money & Ride was by far more "Brain food" & entertaining.
  9. Now caad quick question, is that sale still on ?. Looking at getting myself another pair. Bargain price too id say
  10. Yip have to agree with Keith there. red bottle cage will make it look pretty wicked, Otherwise...... Cool bike
  11. hmmmmmm, wish i was there....
  12. K the HUGE question in my mind is. What time do people get home or do they just not freakin work ? I live in PTA, work in JHB. I leave at +- 16:00 & get home round abt 17:20 On my way home i see guys already on their way back from a ride full of mud or dust - whichever & im jealous. How do they get it right to skive work like that ?, sure some might have theor own businesses etc but surely not all ?? It also seems they are getting back sooner even with sundown happening earlier. Where the hell am i going wrong ?, i also wanna go ride at like 3 in the afternoonBumpNgrind2009-03-17 02:31:28
  13. See i have a lot of hard pack in my area where i ride, even with just about terential rainfall it still stays pretty hard. Dunno my kenda komodos are running a bit low on juice now so i was thinking of the larcens. It looks like a pretty nice tread pattern to me as well. On the flipside my kendas kinda have the same tread "more or less" & it does clog a bit & become quite slippery on clayish surfaces. However i dont ride in such conditions 90% of the time so id rather go with what i ride with most of the time.
  14. Hi There All Need to ask a question & i hope someone can answer me. I quite fancy the Maxxis larcen TT's however im not tubeless. Question is: Can i still buy these tyres & fit them to my rim with tubes. Ive looked on Maxxis' website & i see you get 2 different flavours. Fold up & Wired. Now im assuming that i would have to get the wired tyres then ???? Please help !!
  15. sheesh that is wicked cool, Im pretty damn jealous - Have to admit you guys really looked like you had an epic amount of fun
  16. 1st off i hope your son recovers fully & send him all the hubbers' regards to get well soon 2nd off - JAAAA NEE, i actually am left rather speechless & this is supposed to be if im not mistaken the worlds largest attendance cycle tour. When are these monkeys gonna get it right. And then motorists wonder why cyclists give them the BIG UP YOURS FINGER. It all comes down to selfish motorists that have the attitude of " me 1st, me 1st, me 1st ". What do Metro do as i saw yesterday on my way to work - Litterally sit & believe you me eat their own snot while sitting in bumper to bumper traffic with a lazer cam ( ironic as the cars arent even moving 1st gear idle speed )- Shows you what kind of law enforcement we can expect out of the fools that run our country okay im out cause im busy working myself up here
