  1. SLX is lighter for one than the deore. I believe a little stronger aswell as they use a different compound aluminum, but how effective it will for the type of riding we do i dunno ? Just did the same upgrade on my bike & decided to rather go with SLX option. Order is taking forever to arrive at the PO BOX

  7. also who can tell me who took the photos of the MTB event yesterday. Was it action photo Or who was it ?, seeing as though i didnt even make it onto the results page - pathetic organisation i tell you
  8. I use SKF high heat bearing grease. Bit expensive but it works a charm. The high heat grease is a little thinner than regular car grease but also has a teflon coating, yet thicker than regular bicycle grease that you pay an arm and a leg for that seems to fade after a while. Added bonus is it comes in 275g tube with nozzle so you can apply it evenly in just about any place with equal amounts
  9. yes yes yes i see it on there sorry holy but even you have to admit this is funny - the bail that is

  18. sheesh, okay then ill stick to my alu frame then - ive never really looked at TI frames pricing before. Just seems like insanity to me i guess tho it goes to say - you pay for what you get
  19. holy mother thats insane pricing - nice but a bit of a bank breaker
  20. I tend to agree with you, It might sound low budge on this forum but i use them & they are comfy for me. They have a super hard sole which is what you want & as you already know. I was pleasantly surprised by them & ill be honest im as happy as a pig in poo with them. My next pair will definately be them again..
  21. That looks dangerous !! what happens if you take your eye off going straight & bliksem off the roller - Ouch
  22. best suggestion is. I run cable disc's & compared to my most of my riding freinds i have a whole lot less problems. I dont need to bleed the brakes etc etc. They are cheap to maintain & if you have a decent set of mechanical disc brakes they will last a very long time. I sometimes wnder if they are not better than hydraulics due to the simplicity & it definately doesnt cost even a 3rd of the price & they work just aswell if not better at times than hydraulic brakes. That way you can keep your shifters & all youll need is the calipers, rotors & thats about it. That shouldnt set you back more than 1K 2nd hand Just my zim$ worth
  23. sweet ride but i prefer the grandfather clock many happy & safe KM's
