  1. yes & you clearly did not read my blanked out message (narrow cycling spaces in the cape)I can do that type of thing on my route & there is still space even for two opposite cyclists, oh & look you drew me some pictures. How kind/clever or whatever of you!!, did you study graphic design perhaps ? im done with this discussion. Ive actually got some work to do
  2. good on you. I tell you what on the left here is a noddy badge for being such brave boy with name calling. Where in your life have you come up with such nonsense that cyclists push you into oncoming traffic. You might have well been passing them on your left with his back facing you with which meaning you would still have have to move over for the daft cyclist like me Nevermind for what ive said above, In hind sight thinking CT roads are narrower which i never gave any thought about. My route has very wide shoulders hence i can do that kind of thing. BumpNgrind2009-07-15 00:58:48
  3. i also ride on the wrong side & quite frankly i couldnt be bothered what other cyclists or motorists think of me. Not once have i ever been close to an incident as the people actually see you coming from the front & thus for some unknown reason do pay attention. Ive also driven on more occasions than i care to remember with cyclists coming from the front & let me tell you that you definately do pay more attention when the cyclist is on your side of the road coming toward you. Motorists just dont give a damn if they hit you from behind & then its sorry sorry sorry I didnt see you but then the damage is done. I wonder what statistics show WRT accidents in the past. Been hit from the front or behind. I would think the latter. Soooo im sorry to say my life is a lot more valuable than a replaceable car. I will continue to ride on the wrong side regardless of what anyone says & that includes the law because at the end of the day they dont give a damn about you either. You will just be another statistic lying in hospital all screwed up Alhough i have to also say that i ride a MTB so it is rare that im on the road but after my outride there are some tar section to get home & you guessed it i ride on the wrong side of the road. If a copper has a problem with it, come lock me up then if that will make your mundane no good job any better & give you some thrill of sorts
  4. no need to poste mine they still look like this no matter how long or hard or time period i peddle these are them | | stick legs

now that is a flippen awesome gadget. sweet man. if you dont mind telling how much did it cost. Id much rather prefer this than single speed..... at least you have an option if you start running outa steam
  6. nope mine is lying at home collecting a huge amount of dust. I bought it in London for those boring tube rides & thats pretty much the last time is used it in 2005 when i was there. it looks like this
  7. JB can fix that but I think the tube is toast.

  11. congrats BBI junior - hope you woooped your dad up that hill. what a stunning view.
  12. okay i have a treadmil at home that is just really lying there & im also not getting time to go out & ride. Thing is i leave home already at 05:30 to beat traffic & only get home at 17:30ish which by the time im home & ready to go riding means that its already fairly dusk. Im not much of a runner/sprinter & i dont have a gym membership so would you say the treadmil would help. I guess its better than nothing ?? does anyone know a programme i could use just to get my legs going a bit. its actaully the wifes treadmil & ive never even been on it
  13. yup you right. I honestly cant remember when last i just rode my bike for fun. Instead im training to be faster in races & its not like im gonna be number 1 anytime soon. Oh wait i do remember, it was 2 weeks ago. My first time ever at Groenkloof & man i just had sooooo much fun but other than that yah....cant remember
  14. id call him Hitler & if its a girl Eva
  15. strangely enough' date=' i do but what makes me feel even better is when i drive around at dusk with a box of eggs in my lap. nothing makes people switch on their lights as quickly as an egg on the windscreen. scene in car - "what was that!? oh sh*t, my lights are still off!"[/quote'] naaaa i think it will be more like "what was that ?, oh sh*t they tryna hijack me & then speed away even faster"
  16. i can vouch ( spelling ???? ) for that, sanding down sux. even more tedious with fine grit water paper. good luck !!! Also cant wait to see your project done - I love doing these typa things
  17. i think im just a numb nuts, i generally tell myself while im riding that im ruining my perfectly set up bike that i worked so hard at dialling in. but you guessed it. I get too carried away & carry on. My poor derailer pulley wheels definately need a change soon from all the past summer mud i rode through
  18. dont shoot me down here. Bearing in mind that ive never even come close to riding a specialised machine so granted i dont know what im talking about when it comes to their bikes. my question is: what makes them think that they are the fishizle. There are plenty other high end bikes out there that im my mind possibly ride just as well as one of specialiseds bikes for half the price & arent full of k@k when it comes to putting on different/upgraded better parts or am i completely off track ? like i said ive never been even close to riding one so this is just a question My other question is: Are they really worth the money that some people pay for these bikes. I mean honestly - it seems like daylight robbery in my eyesBumpNgrind2009-07-02 23:46:40
  19. okay & then what happened ? BumpNgrind2009-07-02 06:59:40
  20. no offence & its just a question on my side but why do you go to the said cycle store. IMHO - I litterally laughed at them for their ridiculous prices. I even told the helper/child that he must be a comic with those type of prices. the face of said child told me the story of - hmmm.... the penny isnt dropping ? my experience - Fox top @ cyclestore = R 505 ( I think ) Fox Top @ Due South = R 295 ( Guess where i went ) Sorry to hear about your seatpost clamp - I have one too & love it.
  21. thanks for that, I didnt think to put that up BumpNgrind2009-06-30 05:26:17
