  1. Hi guys. Myself and a buddy already entered via entry ninja but we can't make any of the registration days. Is there really no way to register at the event? I haven't done many races but that would be very unfortunate.
  2. High Tower vs Bronson...let the Google searches begin!
  3. Awesome competition! I'm just curious as to what a "standard Santa Cruz build kit" entails???
  4. We had such an epic ride at oak valley this morning! So beautiful and the trails are always amazing. Great challenge to!
  5. Had an epic ride at Helderberg Trails this morning! I have been riding these trails for a while now but thanks to the amazing work being done on a regular basis I still have the biggest smile on my way down. These really are world class trails and if you havnt experienced them you best lube those chains and get cranking because it's so worth it! I don't have pics from this morning so these are from our previous ride.
  6. So guys I'm mixing up my tyre combo this winter. After running a 2.4 Ibex DH up front and WTB Wolverine 2.2 on the back, I've changed to a Maxxis Minion 2.5 DHF 3c up front and a Hans Dampf 2.35 Evo Trailstar on the back. I havnt really tested the HD yet but I must say that the minion is amazing! The Ibex was really good but I didn't expect the Minion to be that much better but it really is! What is the general concensus on the HD? Will it compliment the awesomeness of the Minion in the upcoming winter months?
  7. last year's delheim enduro was pretty epic and an excellent way to end the season. Some super sick single track and a brand new black route compliments of Mr. Botha. If this years event is anything like last year it's a definite must do!
  8. Had an awesome ride at Jonkershoek on sunday! Siiiiick trails!
  9. Holy crap I'm amped! You guys are so lucky to have been able to ride there before most of us. Arg! How am I supposed to sleep after seeing this?!
  10. Had a sweet ride at Muratie yesterday. The trails are looking really good and we had alot more fun than expected! The bush tunnel was epic. Especially when you're pinning it!

  12. Such an amazing trail network. Nice thing about those strava boards are that they let you know exactly when the fun is going to start and when to start getting those climbing gears ready.
  13. Awesome ride at Steilte this morning. One of the clearest days we've had there in a while. Best way to get a day started for sure!
  14. Yes and if you're not a hipster, you won't get your picture taken during these events. Trust me. I seriously need to get one of those flannel shirts man!
  15. Did my first 50km mtb race in Knysna today. What a lekka ride! It was interesting doing it with my 2.4 Onza Ibex DHC on the front though
  16. Just a look at how our tyres held up in the mud on the way up Steilte yesterday. Alot of packing going up but both setups shed the mud really well as soon as we increased the rpm by means of pointing our bikes downhill. Wet, cold, rainy but tons of fun!
  17. Shot. It's going to be my first ride there in the rain. Will be interesting to see how it compares to a wet Jonkers.
  18. Swapped my WTB Bronson 2.3 over to the rear, replacing the wolverine and stuck a brand new Onza Ibex 2.4 DHC on the front. Should be a way better wet weather setup hopefully. Will be putting it to the test at Steilte tomorrow morning
  19. That is a beautiful machine! How much does that beast go for?
  20. Lekka morning at Delvera
  21. Murati wine farm along the R44 a few km outside stellies.
  22. Run it low, very low. I have the 3c compound DHF and I've done many hours on all kinds of terrain and I have no complaints. As for weight, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger imo.
  23. I fully agree with you on that one. Hopefully in time they will make the change?
  24. No they are both single ply. They came with the wheelset for and extra R700 which was awesome! Only got about 4hrs of riding done with them so far but I'm definitely very impressed, especially with the grip of the Bronson. It only came short a little on some hard pack with gravel but other wise I just point and the bike goes in that direction with no problems. I'm already seeing some wear on the wolverines though.
