  1. The 1 I'm talking about happened in & though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. OTB guy was my team mate in the white shirt. Wasn't aware someone else also went OTB. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. The OTB was my team mate. Bad road rash and cracked frame. Me and another team mate stopped for him and that was the end of our race in &. Caught A1 eventually and rode back with them. Good thing we did stop though since the ambulance was completely useless. Where in the world do you tell a guy thats laying on his back complaining of back pain to just stand up?? Seriously so over this "race". And how about smaller batches and bigger gaps?? The crash was caused because the tandems caught us and mixed in with the front guys. Bad organization in my opinion. 4. Check out the Action in Motion Facebook page. They have an album there with the photos.
  5. Sho, that guy in white in the last photo sticking so nicely to the left all on his own...
  6. In my experience, people only tend to stay left in races like 94.7 where there's an actual full road closure
  7. Looks like he retired. He was way off course and then a medic was with him.
  8. Is Johny Tauyatswala way off course? Looks like a medic is with him. Edit: And as I say that his status changes to SCRATCHED

  10. Was that in VB? Guy went down just in front of me. Also had a guy on a single speed finish with us. Seriously impressive!
  11. Lots of the stronger guys that was in VA last year was in VB this year at CC. This definitely contributed to the faster pace in VB.
  12. That's great. You should get the split times then aim for a sub 3 for next year. I promise you those climbs will hurt a lot more
  13. Does wearing white socks with those help?
  14. Been a really bad winter for me as well. First got sick 2 weeks before Maluti with bronchitis, and since then managed to miss a number of races due to constant returning sinus & colds, and the flu at the end of July. Anyone else experienced this as a worse winter (sick wise) than previous years?
  15. Mine is still available if you're interested: https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/303877-garmin-edge-820-cycle-computer-bundle/
  16. Anyone been able to get their Wahoo Elemnt workouts to sync to Discovery Vitality (and get the points rewards)? Seems they don't support Wahoo and there is no way to sync it via a 3rd party.
  17. The guy that won A batch, also won A batch in Berge and Dale. And Berge and Dale is definitely not a race where any wheel sucker would be able to stick. So I'm sure he is strong enough. We had some comments thrown around in VA as well about wheel sucker this and wheel sucker that. Amazes me that people who have been racing for ages are still not able to accept the fact that in flat races like this you will ALWAYS get people who sit in.
  18. ASG has made the mistake of using MTB seeding instead of Road seeding before for the Sattelite race. So they could be making the same mistake again.
  19. Is this a Gen2 stages? I had a very similar problem last year. It might have had something to do with the temperature. Went for an early ride in Suikerbosrand one winter morning and power reading was all over the place. Did the reset etc. but ended up contacting Stages. Their support is really good. My issue resolved itself once I replaced the battery with a new one (although the other battery was still new). Could also be a connection issue between the power meter and your head unit.
  20. Got a pair of these Paris Nice edition Mavic's last week. Been looking for a pair in my size for ages.
  21. How about starting a new thread where you can blame the victim instead of doing it here where his friends and family will most likely read it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Probably not, seeing as he was warming up for a race. Doesn't make any difference to the fact the driver of the car killed someone and drove away, if that's what you're alluding to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Long distance is around 1,150m - https://www.strava.com/activities/854370354
  24. Search your name and surname on Racetec and look at your results. It will show there.
