  1. Noway SM it only takes one to decide shoot first then he is painted and you be dead, i won't try it i would rather ride in a group as there is way less chance that they will strike 2 or more guys(if it's only 1) but i don't feel ladies should go 2 or less. Maybe we should all get together once or twice a week and have a ride.
  2. seems like northerns issues are being blown our way, I think this is up to us to shows these di&*heads we will not be scared off.

  6. Thanks Buzz that should be enough info for most of us, now it's to sell my hatch hook on thule and get one of these which is cool as i won't have to break the bank entirely. On the plus side you have done a good amoun of marketing for you resellers, please keep us updated as more place stock them.
  7. Always a good idea to back-up a new product with proof rather than figures hence my previous question about local manufacturing and warranty and also a great question by Daggavis
  8. Woohoo massive saving compared to thule. Euro Classic 909 = R7999(from thule dealer in DBN) EuroWay 947 = R5299(from thule dealer in DBN) Comparing the buzzrunner 3 bike to the thule classic 909(as they look similar that is R3700 cheaper. Buzz are these carries produced locally or also imported and what are the warranties like?

  12. seems like bosal SA is out of stock, I spoke to Nelson in PTA @ 0123911000 and he refered me to Niel @ 0833273500 who liases with the factory. Nelson can't even provide me with a production date so Neil seems to be the best option will give an update as soon as i have spoken/got hold of Neil
  13. I have to agree with Holy on this one, as roller blading & skate boarding is infact seen as a more rebalious type sport than a fad. When i comes to cycling i think that the popularity will increase especially if the gov continues stuffing up. If eskom gets their proposed increase we will have to make a decision on buying either electricity or petrol as most won't be able to afford both, thus i feel cycling/commuting to work will increase thus the popularity of the sport will increase. Here are some figures to support my clail about the price of the eish-lectric ESKOM TARIFF INCREASE: Apparently it will be 45% increase each year for 3 years! Total 135% over 3 year. It has already been increased by about 100% Your account will look like this over 3 years: 2008 R1500.00 2009 R3000.00 2010 R4350.00 2011 R6307.50 2012 R9145.00 Please keep in mind this was an independant study and works back from 2008 when we had our first increase. I for one would have to decide will i be watching tv or driving to work. guess i will rather watch tv and cycle to work.

  19. cbrunsdon thanks for and to the people you know. I would like if they can provide a proper update on the cycle lanes, specifically the one from blouberg to cbd, eg. completion time(like you asked), exact path of the route especially where it will cross the highway, and if they are going to keep it that narrow as there is more than enough space for the biggest part of the existing route to double it in width to ensure it gets used by those people it's intended for eg. cyclists & runners/pedestrians
  20. Do you perhaps have a link to these?
  21. Potential problem there
  22. You will have to sew it up to aviod the gap from stretching when the tube in inflated, a quick fix would be a piece of duct tape/plastic bottle on the inside to keep the tube from popping out. but not good in the long run. But the best solution seems to be face plant's, there should be something that works, as you get pvc weld for pvc pipes & perspex mixed with ascetone work on perspex as it "welds" the to parts together, superglue might work as it melts pretty much most rubber compounds.
