  1. Hairy for that type of riding, the harley might work good. If you throw on nice leather saddle bags it will be a nice ride. you will just have to check all your nuts and bolts once a month.
  2. I dont know what their top end is like, but what is listed as cruising speed? If I remember correctly is is something like 90 or 100km/h. Not saying it cant do 160, just that the machine is comfortable at lower speeds. ^^^^ this is a beautiful bike! Will you be commuting at all?
  3. The groms look like flippen lekker play bikes!! But they are expensive for what you get
  4. With Harley sales declining it is a possibility
  5. Look at this review from revzilla I like the look and sound. (and price) but it would not work for my needs at this stage of my life.
  6. According to the okes at Makro Milnerton, this was a once off, and they wont be bringing in cannandales again.
  7. Hairy chat to the guys at bike bros n1 city. Their focus is on everyday runners. They might try and sell you a zonty or sym, but they also have a Triumph street tripple, ER6N a few BMWs harleys, a cbr and a couple of others on their floor at this stage. They also get the occasional duke 390 in, but they usually sells on the same day that they get them in
  8. Does any of you know where a small is available?
  9. So one of the ballies bought a bike. Took me about 30mins to assemble and he is very impressed. Weight listed on the box is 14,3kg. I am however impressed by the look and feel. Visually it is very nice and lots of attention went into the build. The welding is smoothed out and the mat finish is nice.
  10. It is I that had the crap with the motomia. Stay away as far as possible. Dont listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. If you want to go chinese, have a look at the big boys. Recently the zontes are gaining popularity too. The bike shop next to my office (bike brothers) actually sells the Crossby. Its a 400cc single. Spoke to a guy that has one and he is very happy this far. I don't like them a bit, although they are very popular in the UK and Europe. I agree with steven, for 48 000 you can get a decent secondhand bike that you wont have problems servicing or sourcing parts.
  11. I have 300gig day time fiber, and 1tb night time data. My neighbor and I share this, with the agreement that he pays half and all our downloads and updates is done between 00:00 and 5:00. We never had the option of ADSL. Telkom said that they won't be installing copper anymore.
  12. Hahaha, No i am getting lights. I decided to stay with the dessert fox lights, since I do ride at night once or twice every second month during summer. I have also seen some very bright square LED "panels" that the dude installed on his hand guards. Man those things are bright. I am waiting to see him at the shop again. If you only want visibility, that is the way to go. I am getting my exhaust is Dec or Jan.
  13. I would take the silverback
  14. Its all fun and games to make fun and comment on other peoples problems and experiences, till you are on the sh@t end of the stick. No one who makes fun of the situation that Robbie and others are in truly understands the emotional weight of a situation like this. This really hits close to home for me. I just hope that none of you are ever in a situation like this, where there is sweet blue nothing that you as a person can do. It is not a feeling that i wish upon anyone. And here I was thinking that I am between matured people who knows when something is serious or not. A community of some kind. But Hey, it is the hub. I should have known better.
  15. did really not know about the chinese jobbies.... I know where i am going tomorrow.
  16. Orange spots are R1000 rand more expensive than the "normal" ones. They go for 2800 at flying brick at this stage, excluding mounts.
  17. Jip I had my eyes on them, went to the bike shop around the corner and chatted to the guys there. While we where chatting another dude came in and showed me his spots. https://bikegear.co.za/product/desert-fox-raptor-led-spot-light-kit/ Pretty decent. I also had a look at the bikeshops owners spotlights, man they are bright and fancy. But it was crazy expensive, but has different colored lenses that you can use. makes a very big difference.
  18. It is strange who most people with a normal IQ see the problem and then decide to not have kids or 2 at most. The people with lower mental capacity tends to have more and more. The problem with this is that in the long run the average person is going to be to stupid to flip n burger. Then we look at the families who earn one small salary with 4 kids, and a couple of bottles of brannes a week. No money for school fees or uniforms, but always money for cigs and a drink. Dit krap my gat. We don't have a kid. Would have loved one, but the medical world says it won't happen. And then IVF is between 60 000 and 110 000 bucks.
  19. Street tripple for sale at Biker bros N1 city.
  20. Ill check again but if i remember correctly it is from 8:30 Brackenfell hypermarket. route to be announced.
