  1. Doc and physio said it's a 12 week process, by then it should be a 100%, so it's up to you if you want to f****up before the time or not by doing stupid things.
  2. Refer to Forum: Broken Clavicle - Your experiences After 2 weeks on the IDT, on the bike in 7 weeks and 13 weeks done 36one.
  3. Will you be willing to swop your 3 man entry for a 2 man entry, first week. Will pay you the difference. Let me know we can talk.
  4. I've always maintained it's guys like you that are the real heroes when it comes to these Ultra Distance Racers, well done bud I'm proud of you.!!!.....and a great read!!!!
  5. Went there wanting to do Sub 20. Paced myself out perfectly to a 19.22. Enjoyed the race and cold beers at the finish. Absolutely no complaints from my side, just a well organised event. "I'll Be Back"

  8. Thanks for the update...it's still very long...eina it's going to hurt.
  9. If you feel confident to race at the sharp end of the bunch then go for it, the last 80km...feels like murder to me.
  10. All my racers are done on Maxxis Icons 2.20 and that includes the Attakwas this year with no issues, just find it such a versatile tyre.
  11. 8th very nice, hope your training goes well.....check you on the start line for the "36one Head Game".
  12. I see you sporting a Pure Savage racing shirt, very good riders in that team, so are you going to be racing at the sharp end of the group?
  13. Why do we do that to ourselves? First time I understand but then we go back for more...enjoy.
  14. I broke my collarbone 7 weeks ago, was on the IDT for 5 weeks, rode Saturday (3hrs) and Sunday (2hrs) on the road for the first time, very happy to be back, will pick it up for the next 5 weeks.
  15. Going to use the Mounty instead of the road bike to ride on the road, I think it's going to be a bit more comfortable and ya will stay off the trails for quite some time, will keep in mind the steep rising stem that seems to be a good plan.
  16. Went for my six week check-up today (broken collarbone), bone has knitted nice, just need to go for a few physio sessions. Will start riding on the road the weekend, start slowly and feel it out then build up some distance, still going strong on the IDT. 36one is still on the cards.
  17. Went for my six week check-up today, bone has knitted nice ( no surgery), just need to go for a few physio sessions. Will start riding on the road the weekend (start slowly and feel it out).
  18. Got my hand as far as the keyboard (desktop) with no pain, but that's it, take the sling off for a hour or two but absolutely no sudden movements must be made (sloth mode). I think my age is against me at 54....it going to take a bit longer.
