  1. I am trying to be an optimist in that they have put in some proper algorithms into the determination, so assume it won't just be one ride that will count, but if they see you are consistently putting in the efforts.
  2. THAT was exactly my concern (especially if you can override the 25km/h limit on it). Maybe they have got some way of controlling it, but would prefer some additional info on the matter
  3. Just performed the "link", you have to log into your racetec profile and then update your details, after which it will allow you to link to fb and / or strava
  4. Seems not...or someone hacked their profile.. this will for SURE last till Friday
  5. is this a April joke?
  6. Not sure about the names, we did some of them as part of the Nissan and really have to give a shout-out on how amazing the trails were. Was tough at some points, but very rewarding
  7. Also working on one good one bad weather race approach
  8. Just go to their website and click on enter. They will verify you qualify when you enter your profile
  9. Maybe to make it more exclusive, or that they won't be able to deliver a proper event if there are to many people
  10. Agree, not sure what they will be able to put in the mix that is not available as yet already
  11. Was always a risk that they might have gotten it wrong, but based on the information at their disposal they made the correct call, which were validated. Even trying to imagine how dangerous it would have been up there on Groenlandberg and coming down in the rain / snow / hail.
  12. See they have moved the 2018 version to Meerendal
  13. Doubt the PPA would be worried, but I would not be too surprised if there are still entries available later the year, which would be a sad thing for the charities as I think that was some benefit for them previously of last minute participants.
  14. Also signed up with a tandem, really excited about it, now to do a bit more training on it. Think I might have ended up with a medium instead of a large.
  15. Maybe THAT was their target, that prime expo spot that CWC gets every year..
  16. I have decided, in my mind the wind will be pumping with some rain and anything other than that will be a bonus. That takes out the question of hoping for good weather
  17. Still very excited, but reading the profile again now... Compare the technical bits to other races, are severe is the drops and stuff? - After WP3...is a 1.3km switchback climb with an ascend of 100 meters - Pine Forest Play Park with some interesting obstacles including swinging bridges, ride the plank, drops and more, to test your skills!
  18. 60% Is that as in 60% do not finish, or 60% don't make it before the cut-off time? ok, I need to get on my bike pronto
  19. looks like a nice profile
  20. They do, but some people only participate in few races in the year, and the road races get penalised for mtb races
  21. Sounds like the right call based on the available information.
  22. that is the theory ;-) In practice some riders generally don't sign up for to many racetec races, and rely on one or two. Personally I also prefer to spread out my dependency to a few races
