  2. We went there this morning, what a pleasure. Friendly guards at the gate, shaded parking, and can see how they upgraded the roads.

  6. To many angry people in the world, country, cities and roads. Angry and feeling helpless about what they perceived as the injustices impacting on them and not others not realising that that what they perceived others do to them they doing the same to others and so the cycle (no pun intended) keeps feeding itself. by realising not every cyclist / taxi driver / car driver is one and the same and we are all individuals and some do things the right way and some dont maybe it is time to stop feeding the cycle and bring around some positive change. but then again the people reading this might not be part of the problem.. or maybe they dont even realise it
  7. They were even this morning talking about it on the radio that they reallocated 600 international entries for locals. And this time it will be a first come first serve basis.

  14. You can try the Scott dealership at Gecko cycles, they are near the Cape gate Virgin Active. They are very helpful
  15. Started doing some research into the watches that have calling capability. Some of the watches are limited to only calling a dedicated "sos" number that has been programmed in it, and that can send a gps location to the person, where others have additional calling facilities. Has anyone tried any of these and are there any that is worthwhile to take along instead of a phone when hitting the trails.
  16. well the results are still provisional, so hopefully they will sort it out. just checked the 30km my wife did, and the winner came in at -9 min...
  17. So it was a great day of biking and mud scating.. but one thing that was sad to see was the damage done by the fires..
  18. Number receive and ready for the mud on Sunday
  19. Would have loved to do this event (got a MiL event on the same day), but will need to be satisfied with the Thys Du Toit 85km for that weekend
  20. Who here has done the race before? It seems that they have added some km to the race compared to last year, and it was a fast one...
