  1. Indeed, many have seen their Facebook posts displaying the gruelling sessions... but alas perhaps the one to fear at the bar counter is the quiet one that keeps his deck unseen, just saying
  2. Event Name: Sanlam MTB Invitational When: 19 November 2016 - 20 November 2016 Where: Rhebokskloof Wine Estate, Western Cape Category: MTB The historic town of Paarl will again come to a virtual standstill on 19 and 20 November as residents and riders turn out for the third annual Sanlam MTB Invitational, this year presented for the first time as a 2-Day stage race. 3. Anybody out there in WC that can repair tubbys?
  4. A story to share... For those renovating or building, we've just had a very pleasant experience with The Stone + Water Collection company after a stressful renovation. After an initial online enquiry, we found their pricing and quality on their extensive stone flooring range (Travertine etc) and premium tap-ware brands (Hansgrohe/Axor/etc) to be surprisingly competitive in comparison to the bigger retailers. Needless to say, we got our price and great personal service (thanks Nick). Thumbs up from us! http://www.stoneandwater.co.za/#!enquiries/c1x5f
  5. Big thanks to MTB boys Willem & Co for assisting a destitute roadie (myself) yesterday between Stellies and Somerset West, thanks chaps!!!
  6. We q The Hot Chillee result is being investigated further. Their result was queried at the finish. We (Moore Stephens) passed HC on the 170km mark with 9 riders strong. HC were already down to 5 riders at this stage and were scattered on the road, no organisation. One also has to consider Team Swift Carbon, Park Cycles and Bluff Meats who's positions are also being effected here!
  7. Hopefully next year they give us a new commentator, can't stand his high pitch 'squeal', especially at the end of a stage, well done to Vincenzo anyway!!!
  8. Bumped into the Focus bike stand on the way out - very cool - new kid on the block!
  9. Quick little life lesson applicable here it seems... Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness - Martin Luther King Jr
  10. Big up to Cycling Functions in Somerset West... Thanks Jaco and Jurie! My bike was collected, serviced and delivered back to my residence same day. The bike service quality was outstanding in every department. I can't remember feeling such a difference on my machine post service, ever! Their tel: 084 701 8249
  11. I'm with you on that one Mr P - the bigger agencies charge mega-loot for logo design and illustration. I'm in the industry and there are horror stories out there!
  12. The Epic is an established and fast becoming an iconic brand in itself. Why fiddle with the identity unnecessarily! Then from a design perspective... mmm... did not expect that from the JDR!!! Whoops
  13. And a pair of the white X/XL... Tx
  14. Hi Mr Look - can I have two pairs of the red in L/XL. Please pm detail. Tx
  15. Really sorry about the spanners chaps... if requested from admin, I will supply full set of proofs for consideration or for future consideration. No charge of course
  16. Dear Hubbers I was very interested in the development of the Hub kit and was looking forward to getting excited about my purchase. I think the guys have worked hard to get the layouts where they are, however my first impression of the designs were on the bland side... neat but safe. I did submit my comment over the weekend and then I thought well if I'm going to crit the work why not throw a suggestion on the table. I think there are going to be a lot HUBSA ambassadors out there, once they get the kit and I personally think it deserves something that is perhaps more than just the generic/standard. I mean no disregard or disrespect to the developers and designers, I understand the process very well and know what time and effort goes into a project like this. Mine is just an opinion. See below jersey concept v1 (excuse the res issues)... food for thought.
  17. Neat, but a little on the bland side, pity!
  18. Hi Christoph - I was in the same scenario last year, training four days during the week and then gunning a long ride on Saturday with a recovery on Sunday. I was also getting sick at every turn and the frustration was immense. As BM suggested, I trained less and rested more and since then my body has responded positively and I'm getting the results on the bike.
  19. I wonder if Supersport will continue to give Mr Mclean and his cronies continued exposure? Where else has this been published?
  20. Mooi man - just relieved you are alive and well, I'll give you a drukkie on Saturday, before we attack Franschoek pass.
  21. Ag shame MC - spoke to Britsie on Sunday... I'm very sorry to hear what happpened, I was gob-smacked. Just thank the Boss upstairs that you're OK, it could have been a lot worse, a whole lot worse!!! I'll call you later chom. Is your insurance sorted?
