Depends on what they negative about. Im negative with teh industry that i work in. I feel we are going to rip the arse out of the market in the hospitalty sector. They talking about pushing rtaes up to R4000 a night when we sitting at R1200 now which is still expensive. We had 460 bedrooms full over Xmas with locals but what local could afford to fly to CT from JHB watch a match and stay in a hotel. i just think that we are screwing the locals to try make a buck of the inter guys that have seen whats happening. I belive SA is ready for the SWC and its going to be cool but some things are going to be crap.

So Mr Ples are you a Lemming? I dont think so, so why stoop down to someone else level? The only way that any of this will be sorted is not by meetings as the main culprits will most proberly not even be there but by Metro/SAPS having week end clamp downs, not just giving fines but talking to both sides and a ongoing presence in the area. If the cycling clubs dont control the members as it is how will it change? What about the guys that come out of the woodwork for the Argus and 94.7?

I can say the same for how many ppl hate drivers. think of all the ppl that have lost thier lives due to a driver not watching what they are doing. What you are doing is saying all cyclists are the same so I dont drive I cycle or ride my bike so in my books all people that use cares are drunk drivers.

Quick question . How are you going to make a cyclist feel unwelcome? Most of the guys on this forum are seasoned cyclist (except me) and they also hate the way some cyclists behave but but turning everyone agaisnt you is not going to help. I dont put all car drivers in the same boat. was almost taken out twice yesterday cycling in the CYCLE lane in blauuwberg by drivers that are to impatient to wait for another car to turn.

Im all for the sorting out of this saga. Just one question. At this moment it seems that we think all cyclists belong to a club and read the hub. How are they going to get the message out to all the "others" as somewhere down the line some cyclist is going to do the same and its going to start all over. Hats off for trying to sort it. Lee

Pity im in CT anywise I would be with you on the road on my motorbike Slowpoke . Sad state of affairs that some people try ruin life for everyone else. to rally stir things up i would get 50 cyclist to ride single file in the road as they supposed to and not in the yellow line and let the cradle residents sit behind them and see who breaks the law first. but that is not going to help anyone.
