  2. Its getting there. i see they have done a large section after woodbridge. Just need the section towards the flea market done now. Anyone know if the cycle lane is going to follow the buslane through paarden isle or u just keep on otto into town?
  3. Do they ride up here?
  4. Thx Fand
  5. Whats the link for the live feed?
  6. Not finished yet. They more intrested in planting flowers. The section from padocks to woodbridge isle is almost done just the massive hole at the lights at paddocks but after that is done all the way down to the woodbridge section. They working on it on and off if u on a MTB u can ride on the path all the way down to the parden isle end safely.
  7. Please explain something to the noobs on the sit aka me . What happened? whats the unwritten rules?
  8. You have to convert it to a file the garmin can read. TCX is one i think then u load it from ur training center as a course. there is a few programs on the net that does it if u google http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/
  9. What is starting to get my goat is the price of the merchandise. I know its not that important but sometime its a nice to have but R220 now for a T-Shirt as a reminder of the ride. Why do we import a t-shirt from Aussie land and have to charge R220 when it could be made here?
  10. Thx for the site. Looks good just a few things On the front page you have got a bit of ur code showing under ur name If you could make the rout profiles a bit bigger, and maybe have the routes as jpegs as well as the google earth maps. and then u Missing TOKAI but this could turn out to be a very cool web site well done
  11. Well a decent concert ticket, rugby ticket etc all cost over R200 and thats for 90 minutes of just watching something.
  12. What would be a acceptable price ?
  13. I found a diagram for homemade light on a web site it uses a 12v downlighter globe. What type of battery will be best for it. Or if some one else has diagram with a list of items needed etc that is better if they could let me know. I know that a lot of guys make some awesome lights and maybe not willing to give away the details but any info on what type of globe and battery and where to buy would be verry welcome. Thx Lee
  14. Nice site but still looks like they aiming at the richer guys.
  15. OOPS need to read legened first but what has flusin S and Vicks medinite and a few others got in that could give u a edge?
  16. Bos was right in a way not to stop, he saw help arriving and went on his way. If there was no one else around he should of stopped just make sure Wannabe gets help. So many more accidents happen casue of rubber necking and ppl stopping to "see" If you not a first aider/medic/doc call for help and be on your merry way. Nothing worse than getting to a accident and ppl wont let you through. Or when u tending to some one there is a loud mouth that is shouting how bad the injures are and trying to tell the medics what to do, nothing puts a person more at ease when someone is shouting "Geez look at all that blood." Wannebe glad u ok mate and Boss u made the call and dont 2nd guess it . Thats why u having sleepless nights. What is done is done. If you keep putting urself down it will get worse mate.
  17. Looks like cycling to work from milnerton side will be easier soon. they coming along quite well with the cycle path. A few more hundred meters or so then it will be tarred all the way from royal ascot to Parden
  18. Anyone know if these are the real Magic shine lights? http://capetown.gumtree.co.za/c-Stuff-for-Sale-sports-bicycles-fitness-Cycle-MTB-lights-2300-Lumen-new-Special-W0QQAdIdZ202000683
  19. I just think that its sad that a Forum for cycling can can casue so much anamosity towards each other. its sad when some of the older guys leave the forums. Some leave cause they way some ppl act on the forums and some go cause they arent treated like gods ( not Implying this about Col just my view on wahts been going on lately) This should be a place where we share ideas and opinions and should all act out of respectt and maturity.
  20. Try Clipless like the other guys have said. I used to ride off road as well many moons ago and also thought that i would put my foot out and down but since rising MTB never had to. Staying clipped in around the corners is easy and If it gets bumpy your feet dont fly off the pedals. B)
  21. I wear D'arcs and have no problem with them.
  22. What is technical for one is easy for another. I hate the one part of the Boulders ride in Toaki, come off a few times and hurt myself and my two friends usally ride it without a hassle. But i still ride it to try master it. So for me that is unrideable at the moment..But to ride a timid piece of ST is noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Only thing i think twice at is Dh sections.
  23. At the view area on Signal hill there is a path that goes off to the left if u are facing the sea. Was up there one day and saw a few MTB go down there. Will take the MTB up there and have a look.
