  1. Since getting my 29HT a few weeks back iv'e found i am able to quite easily stay with the front riders on my sat ride, whereas my 26 i hung out the back. This got me thinking that i get a better workout on my 26 as i have to work much harder. Still early days and i have not done the whole HR thing but that's my next goal.
  2. Depends what your budget is and whether you looking for new or used (both have pros and cons) and are you looking for 29 or 26. IMO best value new is Silverback.
  3. My medical aid requested i lodge a claim after T boning a car in 2009 (driver ignored marshal during a race) and had 2 haemotoma ops to clear it, claim was settled earlier this year, after the medical aid and lawyers got their cut i still got something out. Whole thing cost me nothing I used De Broglia attorneys who work on no payout, no charge basis.
  4. Well done Team Sky, rode with the goal of yellow in sight and did not deviate, might be boring for some but showed real team work.
  5. Medical you can claim from RAF long drawn out process though, if you have insurance claim from them and let them claim from the driver or his insurance otherwise speak to driver.
  6. Congrats Sky Well done Wiiggins and Froome,
  7. The Lab also state they will match or better an item sold at other LBS, condition being the same item must not be on special at the other LBS.
  8. That will take some doing.
  9. Ditto on upgrading the wheels before groupset
  10. Every time i watch and read about Froome I get more impressed
  11. I recall quite a few of them
  12. Michelle has always come across, to me at least, as passionate, feisty but often not very tactful. I recall some of the posts of her and her ex, at the time they were controversial but by today's Hub standards they would be termed mild. She's also a very skillful photographer as well.
  13. That's how i saw it as well.
  14. That would have been my 1st choice and from the outcome would have achieved the desired result.
  15. Need an excuse to leave early to watch at home
  16. Mildly interested in the usual breakaways with no real contenders, but the GC is where i want to see action.
  17. Past is past, looking forward to fireworks on today's stage
  18. True
  19. Missed it last year as i was recovering from flu, will be back this year.
  20. I could write a book on LBS errors from cranks coming lose after a service, faulty fitting of cassette after having a spoke replaced on the rear wheel, jockey misaligned after a service, damage done to the freewheel on a rear hub after the wheel was serviced and..and..and list goes on. There will always be something that might go wrong, but its what and how the LBS deals with it that makes me return in future.
  21. The year Contador won and Armstrong was 3rd. Contador found himself up front with the 2 Schlecks brothers, Contador must really have had a painful neck the way he was rubber necking looking for Armstrong to catch up (which Armstrong did). WHY, surely he could have easily rode away from them. Also if you a threat and have a mechanical don't think Contador will have sympathy the way Wiggins did with Evans.
  22. Bring back Armstrong
  23. He tried that on Andy and it did not work, in fact it was quite hilarious to see the frustration on Contadors face.
