[unit is larger than the 500 but smaller (3.5 vs 4 inch)than 705 but with a larger screen. IMO for weight and size and those with a good sense of direction the mapless 500 will still be preferd by racers, but for others this would be a great device, particulary as it uses the same bike bracket as the 500.

I agree but for the average Joe Worker its a hard understand when someone who earns $$$ stands up and tells them that they cannot afford to pay them more. If the minister did not earn $$$ and flaunt it with flashy cars, business travel perks,unlimited expense acc etc it would be far more easier to relate when they say there is no money. When they had a bus workers strike, all bus drivers reported for duty but did not charge passengers to ferry them, hence getting the support of public as well as hitting the bus companies where it hurt most. In SA the last bus workers strike they attacked non strikes (killing some) and burnt and damaged buses.

One can only wait to hear the unions bleatings at the end of the strike as to the effectiveness of the stayaway, nothing mentioned about the dedicated numbers while sysmpathetic to the reasons would have continued working but were forced to stay away. The unions as always will state their members were diciplined and that intimidation incidents are either being done by non union criminal elements or did not take place. The police are doing exactly what they claim to be doing, monitoring the strikers. Yesterday they monitored how doctors, patients, non striking nurses were prevented from accessing Hospitals without taking action. This morning in Benoni they monitored how strikers went to non participating schools and watched how they chased teachers out of classrooms without taking policing action, when asked for comment they replied they are there to monitor.
