  2. No surprise
  3. Just got back from lunch, If you want to see disobeying traffic regulations try using the padestrian crossing at the local shopping center.
  4. Mud Dee these days merely climbing on your bike is not safe. It would be interesting to see stats on cycle accidents broken down, most of what i see with fatalities is that those that occur on straight roads not at intersections. However that is not to say that most non fatal accidents dont occur there (cars turning left, cyclists going straight etc) One would have to have few brain cells if any to deliberately chance going through a red light and arguing with a metal monster.
  5. Precisely, use your noggin when approaching a light. Our ride group will not go thru if there is any hint that its not safe, then as we do go thru we each shout clear or not clear so that those following know whether to stop or not. Usually we find drivers approaching will stop for us and wave us through, and are happy with a friendly thank you wave.

  16. Think he'll over charge you for all the freebies he gives me.
  17. BB, i know of a case where a guy (rather large) insisted on a brand of wheel even though the Bike shop said it would not suit his weight, and yup he was back a few days later ranting that the bikes spokes broke and insisting that they take them back and he will take what the bike shop originally reccomended but at a reduced price. Needless to say they showed him the door.
  18. Tour de Frans, when i walk in there i feel like Norm from cheers. Plenty of times i've botched up some home job and they've fixed it n/c and swopped parts i bought elsewhere that were not quite right while they have a small restaurant with refreshments to relax in while waiting. Fixed my bike from an automatic (similiar to Sammajoors problem) back to a manual, again n/c.

Cant help either, never been happy with my 520, too many misreads (the setup is not to blame as i occasionaly got correct readings).

  21. Give's a hole new meaning to the term "bottoms up"
  22. It must be bourne in mind most "culprits" are lycra clad cyclists on expensive bikes so they can afford to pay for licenses whereas those that need it for daily transport to get around, cant.
  23. I had it pegged for a certain neighbourhood section that runners went through on the Amsterdam marathon.
