We were there a couple of years back and did a couple of routes, 1 short loop around the farm (on the 4x4 track) and a longer 1 out on the district roads (+/-50km's) ask the owner for directions, sitting in the pub with mates ended up being a good alternative

Went to Sondela last weekend - highly recommended if you want to get out and ride with the family - especially the kids. There is a nice long route for the fitter and more adventurous - flat but can get sandy in places. Great for the kids to see some game while on their bikes with plenty of singletrack

We have the Roboguard System - works well as a 1st line of defence - not linked to ADT as the dogs sometimes set it off but it has a mother of a siren which seems to work (touch wood and all) Still have the house alarm linked to ADT for the night and when out

At the bottom section - next to Mimos and opposite KFC

FPC just changed ownership - still called FPC but does not stand for Fritz Pienaar Cycles but Full Performance Cycles - FYI they are the only Specialised dealer in Pta - needed parts and they were the only one's who could supply

Not sure of any trails - but you can ride between the border of Moz and SA - nice tough hill - ask the locals for the route of the Kaftan Half Marathon

Had the same problem - try tightening the crank (big allen key) - mine was loose on the Sabie - luckily the mechanic seemed to know about the problem

Never heard of any problems out Pta East way

Did some Epic Training Camps there last year- awesome riding with some good technical hills, be sure to go tubeless and take lots of plugs and stans with. Seemed safe enough, only 1 incident where we startled a family of warthogs who then almost collided with us. Also there are lots of spider webs criss crossing the single track (but this is only a problem if you are in the front)
