I am in the same boat as Myles. Will be visiting Lynwood Cyclery next weekend where father Christmas may just be getting my wife and daughter a bike each.

Why notgo to a demo-day like Spez regularly holds and try a DS to get an idea of the feel.

Hey ren8gor Thankfully I am a kortgat so the seat is now way down. Took her for a spin last night, she runs smooth ! Will bag her tonight so I can ride her from Gautrain station to work tomorrow and test her properly.

I already posted this beaut under the bike porn but believe this is actually the correct section. I was given this stunning Bridgestone Radac by my brother in law yesterday. It runs Walber wheels and full Dura Ace with 1st generation Sti. Did 30kays at Rosemary and it performed much better, should be fun at tomorrow's Trailseeker.

Life is all about priorities, been really funny seeing the amount of Spez bikes at the Trailseeker events, and this with the parking lot covered in cheap cars. Seems some will do anything to ride one! To each his own, their bikes are great and their stores beautiful, I for one wouldn't mind having one.

It was my first event ! The 20kay was good fun, and I now qualify for the 40 kay at Hakahana, gonna be tough but looking forward !

With their stellar performance they would find another sponsor soon !

Got my first set of wheels since my last bike was stolen back in '99. Since some unfortunate unplanned expenses killed my plan of buying a Spez Camber for Christmas I decided to go entry-level rather and get a bike immediately so I can start enjoying myself. I decided not to take a chance on a cheap used bike and ended up with a new Momsen AL129, to which I have so long fitted a Ryder computer, 2 cages, a pump and saddle bag that can hold my S4. Would have liked one to commute (and get some exercise) between Randburg office and Sandton Gautrain station, but considering I can buy a scooter or small bike for under R10k I'll give it a skip.

Hey Riaan here, I used to spend every waking moment on my bike in my teens and up to beginning of varsity where I stopped after my bike was stolen. Now many many years on I am getting ready to become a MAMIL. Busy looking at possible bikes and intend to buy for Christmas.
