  1. I really feel bad for those who lost their bikes and hope they recover them. I love how certain people can generalise. It seems only coloureds and blacks steal and do drugs. Your post definitely reflects your sick racist attitude. Yes I know I'll be lambasted by those in their ivory towers.
  2. Don't know details and prefer not to speculate. Body was still there an hour ago. Police at scene. Not far from intersection at Kerk Straat (rd that Mc Donalds is in)
  3. My deepest sympathy to the family of the cyclist that lost his life on Amandel Rd Kuils River this morning. May he RIP. To the rest of us please be careful on the road.
  4. Hi guys. I joined in 2009, have 115 posts. Seen lots of hubbers come and go. I apply discretion and common sense. Have bought a few items and also sold a few. Always had a positive experience. My policy is "if the price is to good to be true then it probably is to good to be true" This is my futile attempt at increasing my number of posts so as to improve my perceived level of honesty.
  5. What could one expect to pay for one of these with 105 10 - speed components and Eaton rims (not sure what model rim)?
  6. Another cyclist killed!! RIP and condolences to the family http://www.news24.co...by-car-20120503
  7. A brilliant effort and great result.
  8. Thanks BeOne. Didn't see that post.
  9. Just read this article. My condolences to the family. http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Taxi-causes-cyclists-death-20100925
  10. Very sad. RIP
  11. My condolences to the family. God's strength
  12. A buddy of mine uses his Specialised carbon bike on the indoor trainer during winter. The only problem he experiences is extreme boredom.
  13. I am quite relieved now that I know I haven't purchased a defective product and that the 'sway' is normal for this type of carrier. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Jerry
  14. Thanks for the advice guys.
  15. I've recently changed from the roof rack bike carrier to the 4 bike Holdfast bracket that attaches to the towbar. The type that the bike hangs on. It can swing forward (or is it backwards)to allow boot access. Last Saturday on my way to Jonkershoek I was concerned about the amount of sway in the bracket (movement of the bikes)as well as all the knocking noises coming from the back. I had 3 MTB's attached. Am I being paranoid or is all of this normal? Thanksrider12009-10-14 04:56:52
  16. Wouldn't the saddle have to be a bit lower on the mtb than the road bike, especially when doing trails? I seem to go with Astana's point of view. rider12009-10-13 03:10:08
  17. Hope Stefan's ok. Guys watch out for the painted lines in the mist. Heard about another cyclist who fell this morning in Durbanville area. Thankfully he's only got road rash to show for it.
  18. Sorry. Will keep my eyes open. Do you have any pics you can post? This always helps.
  19. Thanks steynja. I see the setting is 210.. I'll add this site to my favourites list.
  20. Speedo in car I'll check in the morning. As I said it's very old. Took alot of strain (scratching) in the last two years being on a 11 year old's bike. Hope I can make it out. If I remember correctly it was a Mity 2???
  21. Just when one thought life was simple.....
  22. Just replaced the battery. Only space for three digits. Does that mean I enter 216?
  23. Thanks, I think I'll do it myself. Hope not too many teardrops. If I really mess up I'll use one of the other links.
  24. Thanks BM
