  2. According to my LBS 5 years warranty on the frame, he is in the process of "claiming" for the frame, and i know it is going to take for ever to sort it out... and i am without a bike
  3. About the hole, i have to go and look am not sure?? Will the water have an effect on the frame? Is it not aluminium?
  4. I bought this bike because a friend of mine also has an Orbea (older version blue coloured) and he was very happy with it. He is also a bit on the heavy side 105 -110 kg range. The places he goes with that thing is quite scary, i am much more cautious and a real (banggat) compared to them. He sold his recently and it is still going strong. .....SCARY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT..... you just start falling for "no reason" until you inspect the bike afterwards!!!!
  5. Bought the bike brand new in December 2008
  6. About 1.5km after the last waterpoint(i think), 32km in the race, the road went slightly uphill then one turned right into the orchards and there was a nice dowhill before going up the last climb towards the poultry yard on the right handside. Carried the bike to the water point and got a lift with a farmer on his bakkie...

  13. It was my first ever DC and what a "race/event". We only met our 7 team mates the friday evening. I must admit we manage to jell nicely and where more or less on the same fittnes levels... we managed to do it in 8:10 all 12 of us. I was just inside my comfort zones and enjoyed the scenery and cameradrie to the fullest.... i do recommend I think a very good idea to compile a "check/to do list/not to do list"
