  1. no, it is the second one we know of, reported on the hub. There may be many others..
  2. I find it rather sad that it came to this. Silly move/ error in Kevin's side. But KE is still one of the nicest and most humble riders in SA. Here is a soundclip of him explaining the incident. https://t.co/35dGRyAHCa
  3. Rabubi proving his worth and making his mark on the sprint today.
  4. Possibly, but weather is also a huge factor especially in Robertson on a very hot day, which can normally cause a quick end to your Epic on Stage 1.
  5. According to the Epic website today has seen the lowest dropout rate of any Stage 1 ever. Dr. Evil not living up to his usual Stage 1 antics..
  6. "Christoph Sauser, also a four-times winner, finished in 9th place with new partner František Raboň in a time of 1:02.22,7. Raboň dropped his chain early on in the race and along with Sauser’s crash, it disrupted the team’s rhythm. It was a tough introduction to the Absa Cape Epic for Raboň."
  7. What's Luke Watson doing here?

  14. I get all excited every year, this time of the year. I do think it will be Karl Platt's year again.
  15. There were security guards and bystanders around him (it doesn't look like it in the pic) but they were standing close by ready to give chase if needed. But yeah, i was also wondering why they did not hold him and why he did not try make a run for it.
  16. He didn't wear any cleats. I also first asked him if it was his bike - his response gave him away when he said it was his friend's bike he came to fetch. I took a chance and said I know the owner and suggested we phone him. He then got all nervous and responded that he might have then 'fetched' the wrong bike. That's when I called security. These things happen around us everyday, by ordinary looking people. We just need to be more vigilant and alert as often criminals just 'blend' in with the crowd and hardly gets noticed.
  17. It was the shoes that gave him away mate. Mountainbikers don't wear white shoes
  18. I got informed by security that whilst they were busy with this guy, there was another robbery/ vehicle theft taking place, which required the attention of most of the security guards. So he is still out there, sadly
  19. And what if i told you Chuck also rides a lefty, among other things..
