  8. Ok so I just phoned the Cape Town number.. 021 813 9396 A Nigerian answered. I asked if they had a Scalpel 2 in stock, he said yes but I must email hom for a quotation. I reminded him that the price on the web us R32 100 so why email for a quote? He then said if it is on the web then it is on the floor.. I asked where in Cape Town are they based, and he said they are in George. I said great, where in George, and he said 101 Hibernia Street. I said I'll come around and ended it there. Clearly a scam. My suggestion is that lots of us keep irritating the life out of him on this number I phoned: 021 813 9396

  21. Sorry Devide, but we are devided on this .. So what you're saying is if it does not pay you to race, you should only be riding? I disagree. You can also race against yourself, your mates, or to better your previous year's time. Depending what your goals is, but I believe it is good to set goals in sport as nothing so rewarding as achieving a pre determined goal. That said, I am aso a keen proponent of some social and exploratory riding.
  22. And for some also a weight thing.. I've seen way to often riders avoiding to carry extras with them to save weight, and then someone else in the bunch or some passerby needs to sponsor a tube, bomb, lube, chainlink etc.
  23. Hi Wonder Woman just don't let the buggers pass you ;-)
  24. Not stopping to offer someone technical assistance, well that just sucks, but also not carrying the tools needed to sort out a basic mechanical is reckless, and in a race situation it is plain selfish I greet everybody I pass on training rides, but if you're gonna wait to be greeted back by everybody around you, then you're probably riding too slow! ;-)
  25. Moving to Durbanville soon. Glad about all the options.
