  1. On another note, the liqui moly service guys, did anyone else have to pay R300 for gear adjustment?
  2. Speak to Rory from Ridgeway Cycles 011 524 0192. He could possibly assist you with similar Merida frame and up grade the specs
  3. I also had the same pain and tried all of the above suggestions, eventually what it boiled down to was the pressure in my rear shock was too low.
  4. So the river section has a few trees that had fallen and have not been cleared for two weeks. On one of the bridge sections I've had to move a tree that had fallen over and this was middle of the week and in the afternoon. The reed section, the reeds are so long and are grown that the hang in the trail and slice you up nicely. Some sections the grass is so over grown that you can't see the trail and the trails are mostly over grown. I end up riding only parts of routes. Some TLC would make a huge difference
  5. This place needs maintenance! I am reluctant to go there and do my weekly ride tomorrow, but seeing as there was a race there on Sunday I am sure some work has been done. Is there someone to contact?
  6. Where can I get my hands on some and price?

  9. Oooooh that gets my blood boiling!!!!! I hoot like a mad man! SAdly most people don't care, but i make sure to get my point across!
  10. The thick grass on the 22km was a serious energy zapper!
  11. I was also in the same predicament and went with the Merida one twenty 600. NO regrets
  12. I recently was debating a HT or DS upgrade. I previously had only ridden HT, I had tried the DS and at that stage wasn't a fan. At the end I went for the DS and haven't looked back! I also went from the XC geometry to the slacker in betweener XC/Trail and what a pleasure. I've found that im definitely stronger and quicker with the slacker geometry. Don't know why
  13. Wow, you handled that pretty well! I would lay a charge, too many people happy to take the **** given and not do anything about it and then complain about it. If he has done this once, chances are he will do it again and if it comes up again at least police should see the repeat offender and do something about it. But if they don't know, then nothing can be done about it. My 5cents worth and now putting it bak in my pocket.
  14. There isn't much play to be honest, like you said a few mm either way. First time using a dropper and was interested to know if there maybe was a problem with my dropper.
  15. There is a little saddle play right to left on my dropper post, is this normal? My LBS says that every dropper post has this issue no matter how expensive.
  16. It was a difficult choice when purchasing either second hard tail or first ever dual suspension. I am soo glad I went with the Dual sus
  17. Thank you! This is what i was looking for!
  18. Yeah thats what I meant to say, soomething that attaches to the seat rail. I've heard of something but can't find what would work.
  19. HI! Don't mean to hi-jack your post, I've searched the forum for something relating to my question and couldn't find anything. How do you add a waterbottle cage to a dropper post? I have an adaptor if it were a normal seat post, but can't seem to find a gadget for a dropper post?
  20. I agree! More of a lesson in coming second than winning based on pity
