New machine arrived!

Gym opened in constantia that has an altitude room 2800m above sea level. I tried it out the other evening and I must say it is very different to normal sea level training.

Is this just another gimmick or will it change my performance? Need something to keep interested over the long winter....

Just swopped my Shimano XTR for XT. I go through XTR pedals every 9 months or so. Comes clean off the axel and cannot repair it in the field. I would just stick to XT but I have a warranty and they hand me new XTR's. I just nod and accept...

I did Tankwa this last weekend. I would say GR300 is tougher but the weather is cooler and the terrain not as rugged. But there are no free miles in the Knysna forests it's either up or down. Heading to GR300 tomorrow, looking forward to it.

From finishing middle of A group last year to C! And I PB'd- 94.7 (2:30) and 99er 2:44.... You think is worth moaning and trying to get reseeded?

My roval hubs and spokes are giving massive problems, keep popping spokes out. Mechanic has advised to rebuild with new hubs before the Epic. Any views on these hubs? I just want reliability. O and I love my Chris King road hubs....

Anyone know what the distance will be before we hit the dirt section?

Atta number 4 done, 7:30. With my pedal coming off the spinal in the last 20km so it was a single leg strategy to limp home. That's the third Shimano XtR pedals that have broken like that. 1 per year. Wtf

Spoke to Beers at RECM 200, after the heavy injury he had from moto cross and then to get on a MTB and ride like he does, outstanding. Give em hell up front. Got seeded back to A from D, seeding operator error apparently. Atta number 4 and nervous like it was my first.

I waited to get my PPA number with 500 other sods. Missed my start group D and headed out with H!! TT for 2hrs05min but was a great route. Love the races around CT instead of that rollers out north every weekend. Bring on Attakwas this weekend , lots of rollers/mountains/rocks and mud there!

Any views on riding 25cc over 23cc? Other than a more comfortable ride. My new specialized 25cc turbo also have zero tread...should I be concerned?

Tour does similar climbs but the routes are generally very different. It's just unimaganative by Dr Evil, western cape has many more places to ride. Maybe 2012 was a very profitable year and all they see are dollar signs. #capeepicdissapointed But I am paid up and will enjoy it non the less. But J2C and pioneer now look more interesting. But that amabubesi is calling. But then again I can just buy the jersey at the store, no?

I love piña a few years ago but now that every banker has one and with so many fakes, my love has faded. I ride a 2010 Roubaix at the moment, great comfortable bike. But you do sit up in the wind a bit. But if it good for Boonen it good for anyone. My Colnago C59 Black on black, campy supa record, enve wheels, Chris king hubs, enve handle bar and stem, selle italia seat, look blade pedals. Finally my dream bike....arrives next week
