  1. Not sure if someone else has posted anything on this topic?? I was watching the highlights to this years Giro and was horrified at how Sh*t the commentary was. Its some plonker Yank that calls the riders by the wrong names and says alot of aaahhh this and aaah that. A rider will come up to the support car and he will say"rider is at the support car" Hello, unless I am blind, I can see that he is there. He really sucks. It does not come naturally to him. He pauses to think what he wants to say. While I am ranting, what happened to the cycling icon on supersport active on DSTV? Seems cycling is not that important to DSTV anymore!!
  2. Sad indeed!!!!!!
  3. Oh well Weight Weenie. People can call me a racist...Im cool with that.
  4. Yip Seriously. WTF has this got to do with the HUB???
  5. Its a pitty in todays life you have to take things with you in order for some F*!cker not to steal it. The wheel turns...sometimes incredibly slowly but it turns.

  11. I live about 10min away. Any trails that side?
  12. This is what pisses me off bt this country. I love this coutry but hate these F***ERS!!! Just makes me want to sell the business, packup and piss off.
  13. Ok. I know I am goingto rattle some feathers here but please bear with me as I am not taking jabs at anyone.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> So if you?re a pro, you have to work for additional income, cycle for about 2-3 hours a day, give your bike back at end of season or sell it in which case the coach or sponsors get the money, get no endorsements from sponsors who can pull the plug at any time, spend maybe 1000km of international racing abroad or local a year to just get spanked and ontop of that earn enough money for 2 minute noodles. I know the government does not give a crap about cycling and does not contribute financially. Is this then not a one way street with a dead horse at the end? What do you pro's do once your career is over. Do you get a job with the same salary or is there something in place that guarantees you a top notch job? Is it not better to be sponsored by multiple "investors" under one banner like our provincial teams, be it cricket or rugby? Like I said, I am not taking shots at the pro's, I am just thinking that being a pro in SA would probably be the same as a amatuar team in Europe. Yes, I believe performance wise you will not be that far off from the pro's but statua, and team is another story. So is it really worth being a pro in SA?
  14. I am absolutely shocked!!!! How can the Pro's earn 15-35k a month. I thought they would get atleast 80k. Is that gross or Nett? Either way, that is peanuts. They must really love cycling...alot. My hat goes off to you pro's. All those hours of blood sweat and tears for thar salary. Atleast you are living your dream
  15. Wow jayz thats impressive...breaking the 100kg. 60 a day!!!!do u still smoke?
  16. Thanks for all the guys, much appreciated. Hope to get to meet all of you some time on the ~~~~ ===== trails.
  17. Hi BumpNgrind. I take it your talking about Groenkloof and not groendakkies? Im on thatchfield side so its not that far. At the moment im training by the quary at olivenhoutsbosch. some really nice trails and river. Funny thing was when i got home i thought i was doing like 60km/h down one of the trail, but when i looked(once i stood up off the floor), my max speed was only 38 I also understand why some people go for full suspension cs my bike behaved like a bucking bronco!!exclusive2010-01-22 07:45:24
  18. Nice going cbrunsdon. Good motivation for me
  19. Aaahhh Parabola that sounds great....except for the ankle thing. I was born and bred in Durbanville so I know the awsome rides you have there. But we have pretty good ones here too and furthe out towards Dullstroom/Sabie.
  20. Yes Bateluer, I stay in Centurion. I will take you up on the offer but maybe only in 2 months time once I can get my avg speed and Mileage up a bit. Only avg 11.8km/h today
  21. I bought a mountain bike on Tuesday and after being out of the saddle for 15 years, I just have to say that I am loving being back on it. Although my buttocks are seriously sore. It all started at the beginning of the week when I was on the scale and measured 103.6kg when I am meant to be 85kg and knew I had to do something about it. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Day 1 and I thought it was the good old days when I used to race along with Ryder,Moolman,White etc (road)....oh boy was I wrong. I didn?t get far day 1- 4km's; day 2 - 6km's ; day 3 - 8.5km's...bear in mind as I come out my estate I have Suikerbossie to my left and Klapperkop to my right. I stay in a dip. Today was great and used the bike for the first time off road. I went up the steep one, around the back of the estate, across a large open field, through a river(almost lost the bike for a second)through another field and back home. Feeling slightly tight but other than that I feel absolutely great <?: prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> Just thought I would share that with you guys as my fianc? does not quite understand my excitement but I?m sure you guys would...cheers exclusive2010-01-21 16:47:46
  22. the one i wanted to buy was built up but too big for me. it was last years stock so the smaller frames were already sold out. so he took a frame that was on display and is transfering the components which are deore xt if im correct
  23. Hi Guys. A cycle store did not have my size in stock on a mutt 6600. The said they have a better frame for me and they would charge me only 1k more for the frame of the correct size. it is also a mutt but does not have a model number on it. it only says bianchi mutt and is a blue/ish colour but says on the botton by crank "made in italy" had a price of 6k on the frame. anybody got a clue if its any good b4 i buy the bike?
  24. Great, thanks guys for your help. Will look for a bike with that size frame
