  1. Are Those The Magnesium Nukes? DMR do something similar too
  2. V12 Pedals. From CRC in UK. All inclusive R1200 delivered to my door. Brilliant http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/mobile/za/en/dmr-v12-flat-pedals/rp-prod118165 I use them with 5 tens stealth rubber shoes. Good grip
  3. Indola. Can get direct from Indola for a tad cheaper than most shops
  4. Did this. Unfortunately the data then shows on Garmin as being from an unknown source. Disco would not accept it. This after numerous emails and calls. Solution: I have removed Disco from Strava and Garmin. I can train in peace knowing that I am not providing Disco and co with free data which they then sell to 3rd parties. My T's and Cs. Smoothies make me fat(ter) anyway. Vitality points already maxed.
  5. Nope. I sent data from Trainingpeaks to Strava to Garmin Connect using Tapiriik. Garmin Connect to Disco. Disco to not accept the data as it's considered to be from an in known source. Have discussed the authenticity of Trainingpeaks data to Disco but they are not at all interested. Solution: If you want the points it's more convenient and acceptable (in Disco's view) to just swipe your gym card 3 times per week to get the minimum points. After that do not upload subsequent points for the week then you required total will not increase either. Basically, 1 swipe for points and the other 2 swipes to collect your weekly smoothies. Pathetic really since some of us are actually exercising but Disco will not acknowledge same
  6. New Balance appear to be the only brand offering 2E and 4E wider width fittings in SA. I have battled for years to find wide shoes for my slabs of meat. New Balance are the only ones that fit in this case. In the US I did manage to find Nike in 4E fittings.
  7. Unfortunately the comment above makes sense... Annoying, Disco are
  8. Cycleops 4x per week. HR with cadence, power and distance all linked to the world accepted Trainingpeaks training software. Unfortunately Disco do not associate (currently) with Trainingpeaks so the data is transferred to strava or Garmin connect and then to Disco. Disco will not honour this because it's 3rd party data and considered unknown source. I have requested comment and justification from Disco to no avail. Perhaps somebody from Disco who is on the forum would care to look into this. No opinion or self experience from the clever okes, just the simple fact and finality from Disco would be nice. So would a 911R... Thanks
  9. Cannot seem to register online ....edit: you can register now
  10. OP send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a gpx file of the spruit
  11. It's been fine from Paulshof through to Alberts Farm in my experience. I started riding the spruit again this year
  12. If the strava data has HR and Watts and cadence etc, will it then be accepted by discovery?
  13. SINGLE FILE on the road
  14. I use a garmin on mtb rides which syncs to vitality - all fine, when it works. Problem however is the indoor cycleops training which uses proprietary HR and connects to Training Peaks which subsequently links to Strava and then Vitality. If Strava is removed from Vitality then these HR recorded sessions at cycleops will not count. The only way I think would then be to use 2 HR straps one for garmin and one for cycleops. Pathetic really .... or am I missing something?
