  1. Gerald: I really enjoyed the 62km mtb race this morning. Good signage. Good marshaling. Good police presence. Good drinks points. Good weather. Lekker. Thanks I found a pair of sunglasses in the area between the finish and the car park. If you know anybody who lost them they can contact me. I'll post soame in lost n found
  2. Looking forward to the 60km mtb tomorrow. Looking to enjoy the ride, and will no doubt be cruising near the back of the group, BL I think
  3. Osprey Comet 30 litre R1500 at sportsmans
  4. Entered and paid... Rode Juma 54km this year. Looking forward to next year's
  5. Hey Gerald Any chance of getting the gpx or kml files for the 60km mtb route please?
  6. Where has your bike taken you today? Work and back. Thanks bike
  7. Tested it out today. Works nicely. Too cluttered: Nope not in the slightest. Having opposable thumbs helps too. Veering to the left: Only when the fast okes want to pass.[emoji48] Dropper posts are imo, worthwhile. Very happy with Lyne option. Only 105mm drop on the 27.2mm but definitely makes a difference.
  8. Thanks will try with smaller grommets to neaten things up. Suspension lockout and dropper switch are comfortably spaced and access to gears not compromised. Will ride it some more and fine tune position of each if needed. I usually only lockout suspension on black top roads so no problem there. Fortunately I have opposable thumbs and should hopefully be able to operate switches accordingly. Will keep you posted
  9. Runs out seat tube and under BB before connecting to cable clips running up front tube to the handle bars. Will neaten up the insulation tape after testing the dropper
  10. Installed the Lyne dropper this evening. Ran cable through the bottle cage connection - unscrewed the threaded adaptor and cable fits nicely. No holes to be drilled. Sealed the hole with stretchy insulation tape. Looking forward to riding it
  11. I use DMR V12 pedals with 5.10 shoes (stealth rubber sole) with my size 12 (4E super wide) slabs of meat. Been about 15 months and very happy with the setup
  12. Stealth rubber is just the type of rubber. Generally vibrant or stealth rubber is used... originating in mountain climbing me thinks. I use 5.10s but those Adidas high top shoes look lekker
  13. A really good cyclist racing for RoadCover who really deserves the spot. Very nice guy. Good luck Clint! RoadCover keep up the good work in Reunion
  14. I took the plunge. Bought an internally routed dropper from Lyne. Arrived yesterday. Will drill into frame. From response from those who have actually drilled as opposed to those who have not, will give it a go
  15. All good thanks. Will probably do the tape/grommet option. Drilling into the back of the tube is a whack easier as far as access for the drill goes. Awaiting delivery of the dropper I ordered
  16. Thanks AlanD. I read the other thread. I note you drilled on the back side of the seat tube. Have you not had debris ingress being splashed up from rear wheel ?
  17. Ordered an internal routed dropper. Going to have to drill hole near bottom of seat tube or possibly drill through bottom bottle cage hole. Advice from those who HAVE done this would appreciated. Would you do it again?
  18. Anybody else looking for a 27.2mm externally routed dropper post? If the demand is high enough I trust our friends at Lyne will consider bringing one out. I really want a dropper post but am not overly keen on drilling into the bike frame to accommodate internal routing. If you are interested let's ask Lyne.
