I could not sleep after the debacle that was last night. I kept wondering or trying to figure out what Mourinho’s purpose or objectives are with this club... His selection methods are mind boggling, and his explanations are just ludicrous... He took over the club management role with lots of fanfare and promises, then he offers the club to make a decision on which of two competitions it wants to prioritize... Huh?? At this juncture???? No man... I always thought he was better than this...

I really can’t figure what Mourinho is actually trying to achieve this season. While his history shows incredible results in his 2nd season, I’m wondering if he is going to call this a mid-season change when things are not going his way next season...?? In any case, the mental approach of this current lot, with or without any registered players, seems to be chalk and cheese in comparison to the lads of the previous seasons. They really used to battle for results, and play for each other... Sadly, not noticeable these days... This squad really should be better than the results they are achieving.

Awesome. Enjoy... It’s not as if Spurs are doing themselves any favors against a lackluster Wolves side really... Wolves have 2 goals from 2 shots on target!! Both gifted...

An absolute peach of a finish by Dries Mertens to put Napoli ahead after a well worked counter against Barca... The game sees Barca with 67% possession, against a very well organized and focused Napoli, who are letting the Spanish side play until the 18yard line - dangerous but effective. Barca will have to keep their heads and be patient against this solid Napoli side, and especially make sure not to concede again

Yeah, these issues at Barca just won’t go away so there must be something going down... “Where there’s smoke...” It’s a pity though, because La Liga needs Barca to keep Real Madrid honest in the title race

Hahahahaaaa... With RB Leipzig really under the kosh with Spurs attacking relentlessly, and what do they do... Stop play with half their team needing medical assistance... Hahahhaaaa

Agreed. The Maradona clip is really indicative of the sad and sorry state of a former legend... As for his “assistants”, just gotta admire the drill :tsk: tsk:

This Atalanta side have been absolutely phenomenal in the way that they play... It’s incredible to think that they lost their first three matches in the group stage and still managed to qualify! Top flight football needs more teams like Atalanta, Spurs, RB Leipzig, and the like... Spurs are hanging on in London. Leipzig are relentless in their pursuit of the ball and forward play

RB Leipzig players know exactly how to dive... Lucas Moura Should never have been blown for a foul that wasn’t... He was free on goal :sigh:

I’m guessing that Mourinho is going to play Bergwijn through the centre in a front 3.... with Dele and Moura either side, in a false 9 and a 10 position... What if Mourinho also decides to go with a 3-man midfield with Winks at the base and Ndombele and GLC servicing the attack from the flanks... Okay, imagination over, lol

Of course this couldn’t have come at a worse time... But, there should not be any reason for holding Parrot back, even at 17. From the little I’ve seen him play, he should certainly be an option. He is actually quite similar in style to Harry Kane and could just have a blinder. I’d take the chance. I wish Sonny a speedy recovery

What a free kick that was by Dybala  Meanwhile in Birmingham, Spurs struggled to get past Villa with Son having a ‘mare... only had 2 good touches throughout and came away with 2 goals :dunno how: The whole Spurs side just lacked ideas, and it seems they forgot how to play football during this winter break... Anyway, Lady Luck has a lot to today and now Spurs are 1 point off Cheatski, who come to North London next weekend...

It is going to forever be a contentious issue for as long as Spurs Supporters and the Jewish Communities disagree on the context of “Yid”, “Yiddo’s”, etc. For as long as I have been a Spurs supporter, the debate has been rumbling on and on, back and forth... And I, being far from Jewish, understand but cannot do anything about it. So I accept it as a reference to Spurs Supporters and the Club’s Jewish tradition. And we move on... I do like how OED points out it’s perspective on the words they enter  Imagine describing a game where 2 Saints’ player are sent off for “Unsportsmanlike Behaviour”.... Huh???? LMAO

Spot on about the Inter v Lazio is going to be a cracking game, given their league standings, not to mention the already feisty fans.... Looking forward to Sunday

I think the story of Juve selling off Ramsey is ludicrous... Firstly, he has hardly had much chance, and Sarri knows that squad depth is a critical component in successful and competitive squads. It’s just media mischief, again.... IMHO

Serie A is really cooking these days. How incredibly tight at the top with Lazio a point behind Juve (even though Immobile didn’t get on the scoresheet). Let’s see if Inter (with Christian Eriksen, Ashley Young, Lukaku) can turn over Milan (with Ibrahimovic), and get back level on points with Juve...

It turned into a dream debut for Steven Bergwijn because of the frailties at Man Shitty. Well taken strike for his and Spurs’ first goal today. I thought Shitty were very very lucky to get away with a yellow for Sterlings foul on Dele... Its making a joke of VAR! Son was absolutely poor until he scored Spurs’ second... Which was a great decision to keep him on after Zincheko saw red... Overall, a great 3 points against a top 6 team

Nice to see De Ligt get on the scoresheet as well
