  1. Hi Sean, As per the SuperSeeding Criteria, it takes at least a month after a race has occurred that the results become available for us to load the results onto the ladder. The rules state: 1. The race must be 90km or longer. 2. The race must be Chip Timed. 3. The race must have a minimum of 850 finishers or at least 2 of the professional teams (min. 5 riders per team) participating in the event. 4. The details of each rider must accompany the time especially the ID no. 5. Results will be added 1 month after completion of the race. (Providing the data is correct). 6. Races will be taken off the SSL as soon as the next year?s event has been loaded (or a year has past), except for the Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour results that will stay on for two seasons. As you mention, you haven?t raced for 2 years, so we have no results for you. It is not a case that we are to lazy to look up results, but the Sungardens Carousel & the Powerade Lost City results have not been finalised and provided to us (it is not a case of copying and pasting from 1 website to another, the data needs to be given to us by the timing company / race organiser). So we cannot use these results, and therefore cannot make an exception just for you, as it is unfair for all the other entrants. As stipulated above, the results are only used for a year (except for Argus); so we cannot use your results from 2006 & 2007. Seeding is not a ?profile? of a cyclists racing career, it is a rider?s current form within a year. The Powerade Lost City & Sungardens Carousel results will hopefully be given to us and loaded by the end of this month. Regards, Cycle Events.
  2. Dear Hubbers, We are sure that you are all happy to see that the SuperSeeding Ladder has been updated. Although we try our best to help you improve throughout the sport, we are not responsible for the timing of races and the results. Even though the results may appear on the relative timing company?s website, this does not mean that the results have been finalised! It does take some time for the timing companies to deal with all queries and sort all the data. Only once the data has been finalised and confirmed by all parties, are the results sent through to us to load. It is not a simple copy and paste process from 1 website to another. Some events can take longer than others to show, as with the Argus. This is due to circumstances out of our control. Please also remember that races such as the Powerade Lost City Cycling Classic & the Sungardens Carousel are far too recent ? as mentioned in the SuperSeeding criteria, it takes a minimum of a month after the race has happened. Super Seeding Ladder Criteria: Any race will be used provided it falls into the set criteria. 1. Please also remember, that we Cycle Events, have nothing to do with the 94.7 Cycle Challenge and/or Argus Cycle Tour seedings ? any such queries must be directed to their respective offices. Trusting this sheds some light on the topic. Yours in cycling, Cycle Events
  3. Dear Huber?s<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The super seeding ladder is a free service offered to cyclist in order to help improve your cycling. We here at Cycle Events do care a great deal about getting your results up and live on the seeding ladder as soon as possible. There are many different companies who have to come together in order to make the seeding ladder possible. Even though your result may appear on the timing companies website, this does not mean that the results are finalised; and is not a case of copying and pasting from one website to another. We receive the data from the timing companies once they have been verified and all timing issues have been sorted out. It will then be checked by the organizers who will give permission to send the data to us and we update the Seeding Ladder. Winning Time has timed a majority of the races this year, and coming off the Pick ?n Pay Cape Argus 2009 is trying to get the results to us as soon as possible. But as can be predicted are very busy at the moment, given the amount of queries that they are currently dealing with. And we wish to have the correct information appear on the seeding ladder. We do apologize for the delay, but we assure you that we have your best interests at heart and endeavour to provide a fantastic service to the cyclist. Yours in cycling, Cycle Events
  4. As soon as we have received the information from Champion Chip we will also add The Sungardens Carousel Powerade Kremetart We are sorry for the delay but we can only load results once we have received them from the various timing companies. Im sure we will have these soon, thank you all for your patience. In the future should you have any questions on the seeding, please don?t hesitate to contact us directly on the following Tel: 011 707 2700 E-mail: <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />clic@cyclelab.comonName>
  5. We would like to inform everyone that paying for a race with a petrol card wont work!! There has been an increase in this over the last few weeks and we here at cycle events would like to inform all cyclist that although it may seem to work at that moment the banks do return it to us and you are then removed from the race. this act is illegal it constitutes fraud and you can be prosicuted as well as your card is blocked after words, So we urge you all not to take the chance, its not worth it you will not get a "free entry" this way instead cause yourself alot of hassel and not to mention make your name mud.
  6. Hi guys, <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I suppose this will not answer your question nor solve this problem but we are JUST as frustrated about this situation if not MORE frustrated. We do give you the answer that we are waiting on the timing companies and that is exactly what we are doing. We VERY recently received the results for the Bela Bela Classic (CC) as well as the Knysna Oyster Festival (WT) which we will be updating early next week. Really busy with PowerAde Dome to Dome at the moment, I?m sure you will understand? Correct me if you think I?m wrong but its only Championchip timed events that you guys are waiting for? We?ll, as mentioned above we are just as frustrated with the situation. Quoted: ?So, don't that the Supersport mislead you in giving you a seeding , position per age group and all that rubbish, half the country is not on because our races is not listed.? Popeye, Please let me know which event in the Cape you are looking to be added to the index? We have to maintain a certain criteria / standard and if any of the events you refer to qualify, please let me know and we will DEFINITELY consider this. In the past we have added the ?bigger? events like the Argus, Burger / Sanlam, Cape Cobra, Tour de Winelands and Construction du Cap. All these are currently on the index. Races from East London as well as PE are on the index as well. In closing I would like to ask you to contact me personally if you need more info and I will gladly try and help. Regards Erick Oosthuizen erick@cyclelab.com
  7. Hi there Narra and co! We DID indeed have a problem after we made some changes to the entry system. This was caused when were were testing some functionality with regards to CSA licensing (touchy subject, I know). We have now corrected this and this should all work fine. Please can you test when you get a chance? I suppose this will mean that you need to enter more races hey? :-) In our defence, we only received queries on this on Monday so the turn over time wasn't to bad we would hope? We are also working on the "race searching" facility and should have this working soon. Apologies for any inconvenience to all the non-IE surfers! Yours in Cycling. Cycle Events!

  10. Hi all, Just to let you know you will be ascending Hekpoort before going up the gravel road section. The organisers designed the route this way as it is safer for all cyclists to go up the gravel section instead of flying down there at high speeds. Hope this help. Cycle Events
  11. Hi Dr. Seuss The race will be going up the gravel section on the Kromdraai rd. It will also go up Hekpoort Hill this year. The route has been changed from last year due to traffic and safety issues. Regards, Cycle Events.
