  1. He is one of several people on the selection panel, do you really think that he will influence a selection because he coaches someone? come on!! results speak louder than words! if he is a very successful coach and his riders get results whats wrong with that? sorry, call me gullible if you want but i am really struggling to see the problem here! here is a guy that has dedicated his life to the sport and now we want to question his ethics because he has a number of pokers in the fire? not cool IMO
  2. coming on here and accusing probably the countries leading sports scientist of being biased is just plain ridiculous! maybe consider looking up the Dr's credentials before making assumptions like this!

  9. HI guys, sorry or the delay in announcing the third tip/hint winner, after much deliberation we glad to announce Mr Winters tip "In shorter distance races such as Sprint or Olympic Distance, break two elastic bands and tie them around the top tube of your bike, then place your energy gels underneath the elastic bands so they are easily reachable during the bike segment. Same idea with your Sunglasses which during the rush of transition can easily get forgotten, dropped or trodden on! Place the arms of the sunglasses underneath the bands to hold them securely, then you can wait until you have got yourself into a comfortable position on the bike segment before putting them on" as the winner! Mr winter we will be in touch

  19. Officially there is no information about a new series. There are provisional dates on the calender but that by no means is an indication that the event will take place. so in a nutshell: until official correspondence is made public there is no new series.
  20. believe me its not just Swim SA theoretically they cant do anything to you if your event complies in terms of the sport and recreation act however, they can deny athletes access to provisional events if they take part in unsanctioned events
  21. Fat cats no? how many triathletes represented RSA at the Olympics? How many TSA officials made the trip to the Olympics? compare the sanctioning fees of other governing bodies like CSA and SSA and then tell me that its proportionate and just to correct the numbers its not R100 per athlete per race its R180.00 (levy + day license) for a ultra if the athlete is not a registered TSA athlete. with regards to the support of professional athletes, is this a matter of robbing the masses to support the few? why is it the responsibility of the athletes to support the pros? this is exactly why SASCOC is there no? if the athletes fees are for sport development i am all for it but please provide one example of successful development of a PD athlete and i will humbly apologize.
  22. yes you could, if your tip/hint is voted as the best you could win again and of course ALL tips/hints get taken into consideration for the main prize too
  23. Well done Garfield!! remember guys there are three more hampers to be given away, next one will be given away next thursday.
