  6. Hi Guys Just to clarify, we did not notice that the race pamphlet still stated that the Prestige is the LDC selection race for 2014, we apologize for any confusion that this may have caused as the LD champs selection race for 2014 is of course the Midlands Ultra event. Further more i would like to reassure you that the Prestige Ultra and sprint event will be taking place! Entries are available @ www.cyclelab.co.za
  7. why not just accept your money back and look for another deal? end of problem, its not like they took your money and dont want to give it back! i would rate him negatively, take back your money, smile and wave and move on
  8. i also love the Brand! only have one more but will definitely be expanding on my collection
  9. my latest addition
  10. please let me know where the markers are that you are referring to as the route gets cleaned up immediately after the race, it may be that a section was missed for some reason, but i assure you we take this very serious and will clean up any section that may have been missed.
  11. Thanks alot for all the positive feedback guys! we always try to improve on all our events but without feedback thats really hard to do! hope to see all of you and the cold one... i mean winter one
  12. not too sure how the new garmin works in water but man that new forerunner is SEXY
  13. Swiss, no doubt for multisport a integrated GPS is the way to go but for running/cycling a GPS pod is fine IMO the G5 sensor is so small i clip it onto my bib strap and it doesn't bother you! for Triathlon i swim with two caps and put the sensor in between the two caps... The G5 sensor is not 100% waterproof so be careful, for multisport the Suunto ambit is superior due to its auto swim lap calculator as well as the GPS sensor that works brilliantly in the water and also includes a automatic sensor that picks up what discipline you doing
  14. It really is a great product, the G5 sensor is so small that it really doesn't cause any inconvenience, in a way i think that its better to have a separate GPS sensor because then you can keep the watch slimline like the RCX5
  15. Interesting! i Dint know that Polar was also Finnish... I went to the Suunto Factory in Helsinki last year, unfortunately there is no price saving buying directly from them
  16. I have the RCX5 too but i tend to favour the suunto. One good thing about Polar is their local backup... Its brilliant, haven't had a issue with any of my Suunto watches as yet but i hope i will not be disappointed. I guess its like you say, everybosy becomes brand loyal in the end.
  17. why not try the Suunto Ambit?
  18. Blinkfan i have the same problem, easy fix though, every now and then just loosen the wheel nut and spay some lube around the nut area i use a Teflon based spray lube but any lube will work.
  19. the route will be slighty different to this but the general layout will be the same
  20. Guys, the route looks great and weather forecast looks good! it will be great to have a dry event for a change but we have changed the route to avoid alot of the muddy sections should we get rain. there will be day entries so we hope to see you all there
  21. in the triathlon setting if you press the lap button when you come in and out of transition with this not then give you your splits?
  22. not much mud Kosmonooit
