  1. There is a small trail network in the Goodersons Resort just up the road from Sani Spoors, nice to take the whole family if you want to ride and they want to keep busy.
  2. I was going to say...but then again, this is the hub and I totally understand how it works. Being here on the ground and doing my part to make the content happen just gives me a slight entitlement to defend the process.
  3. Its all very well to have an opinions on what should be going on during the event with regards to coverage but actually understanding everything that goes into it behind the scenes with all the unpredictabilities and difficulties is another story. I would only ask that those who are dropping the negative comments could be considerate with their opinions given that they might not actually know what they are talking about. Let's just try keep it positive!
  4. I got so amped watching this, from a technical perspective to a motivational piece! Seriously well done guys! I recon this is probably one of the best video content pieces to come out of SA in a while! Hayden, on fire my bru!
  5. I only saw this article after the trip! Incredible! Those guys did an incredible job!
  6. Yeah, time is always our enemy! I wish we could have stayed longer and explored more! Most of the time we hit the ground running on these trips, but it was super rad none the less!
  7. Those images are incredible! Totally gives me a sense of an awesome afternoon riding! Great work Ewald!!!
  8. Music is always a tough choice, thanks for the feedback! I can appreciate not everybody enjoys a solid rap track.
  9. Just opened this article up, scrolling down, getting so stoked off the images, thinking WOW this place is awesome, these images are so rad! Then got to the comments and was like...*sigh*. Great way to remember how awesome it was though!
  10. Hey guys, Just spend three days down the coast and went on a ride from Port Edward to Mbotyi River Lodge on the Wild Coast. It was a great experience, besides for the wind!!
  11. Try get a tubeless rim, unfortunately the ZTR you have to convert. I have a set of ZTR's aswel as the other set that i have mentioned before. I love them both, however like i mentioned before i have had my Hope and mavics for four years now. The ZTR are race wheels, the mavic819 on hope hubs are strong light and reliable - please dont make the mistake and worry about the weight difference, when it comes to such an amazing stage race the last thing you need to worry about is you equipment letting you down. So proper tubeless tyres onto tubeless rims! You know the funny thing is that no matter what anyone says or what advice you take in the end...what works for one does not necessarily work for another! Hope you come right!
  12. There is another option if you want to go to the effort! Mavic 819 rims on Hope pro2 hubs...not to sure what the price is these day but it cant be much more than the xtr wheels set. I have had mine for four years now and they are still going strong! never replaced the bearings in the hubs and only trued the wheels a handful of times. They are light enough aswel! anyway just a though if you were looking at a long term investment!
  13. Cant seem to find a discussion on this, please point me in the right direction if there was a previous one! Just wondering what the difference is besides weight and price!
  14. Hey guys, since I think i'm the only editor on this forum(hopefully not) i will tell you my reasons for not showing more of the "average joe"...I do try to include more of the midfield but most of the time guys are walking the technical sections of the course and i cant put that in...and before everybody goes off at me i know hubbers never walk Trust me, as an average rider myself I do try to include "THE RIDE" as a whole and not only "THE RACE". As it was said above the only reason the race is filmed is cos sponsors are paying for it and they need to be looked after! Anyway i'm sure i will get blasted for something i have said here(not on purpose) but i've learnt thats how it works on here. besides that we will be at the Kargo 10hr MTB @ Kloofzicht this weekend! come find me if you really want to be on TV i'l make it happen
  15. Hey caad, i've been around for a while, just dont say much and suppose thats my downfall:( anyway it was cool to share the video with the world!
  16. Video clip is mine! please dont remind me! to say i am bummed is well not even close to what is going through my mind!
  17. it is multiplied by 0.883' date=' this is one of the formulas that I have found leaves my saddle too high, especially for MTBing for road it might be better. [/quote'] ja generally i do lower it between 2 & 3 cm after that because i can see it is a bit to high...but i've sent off HUNDREDS of HAPPY CUSTOMERS using that formula so i'm sticking to it
  18. well then...forget everything every1 just said!
  19. inner leg measurement(in cm) from bottom of heel to your guch(not sure on spelling) and multiply that by 0.885. you should get a pretty close measurement of your correct seat height
  20. but the pro 3 hubs are non-disk, think they are 4 roadies also might be your freehub body that is shot. if sometimes you put pressure to pedal and it seems like the wheel does not engage...
