    hydro disk

thanks guys wonder why he put on 185 disk in the front must cost more money (he told me got to do with the travel) then he realized he put 1 to many spacers and removed 1) the good news is the brakes are not touching (no drag) for the first time
  12. Hey all quick Q after trying to get LBS to fix my avid juicy 3.5 to stop wheel drag we decided it would be easier just to upgrade the disk to avid juicy 7's what worries me is when i went to fetch the bike the front rotor was bigger than the back (front 180 something and back 160) the mechanic said it is because of the travel of the shock Fox 32 F100 RL fork 100 travel Is this normal or is he telling me rubbish
  13. my mistake to wash the bike I know what was i thinking
  14. new to MTB so lots of Q After riding the new bike i noticed drag on the rotors from the brakes I took it back to the LBS twice and the Technion finally got it right add has been fine for 3 rides. Today i washed the bike and removed the wheels and when putting the wheels back on i noticed the rotors touching again. Is this something i could have done wrong, or faulty brakes and time to fight with LBS or do i have to calibrate the breaks every time i remove the wheels. makes no sense. ps I put the little spacer things in when i washed the bike

    riser bar

Hi guys been riding my new bike for a while now and my neck gets very tight feels like i am 2 hunched over. Feels like i need a riser bar. Currently i am using a Scott straight bar. Can anyone give me the ins and outs of riser bars which is a good make and angle and weather once i am buying to go for carbon.
  16. Hi all new to MTB silly silly Q please explain to me the concept of TraveL 100 120 140MM. What makes one beneficial over the other. I assume it is how long the shok travels or length of the steel rod.
  17. Guys just got a Scott Scale 40 - awesome bike my only complaint is the seat is a bit hard. My road bike has a fizik pave and i have had no problem with it Can anyone suggest a really good seat , weight is important but comfort 2. Also i am assuming does not have to be specific for Road or MTB whatever feels the best. Also does one have to spend R2000 on seat or are these R400 to R1000 seats perfect like this http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.za/Category.aspx?CategoryID=61 lastly maby I should i persevere with the Scott seat and hope I get used to it
  18. ps I think the orbea looked awesome and the components were not bad XT rear derailer, decent pedals nice bike

  25. TW is a torque wrench perfect just hand tighten and off we go. This should align the brake pads so now drag great. I dont have bike work stand so i it alright to do this with the bike upside down resting on the handlebars and seat
