  1. Sometimes I wonder how arrogance makes a person a "good" christian? (in some people's case)
  2. People in glass houses should not throw stones!!!! Agreed HR; a couple of apologies are due!!!
  3. Guys let go on the facts!!! AO race D2D in the VSS cat .. In order to race there you need a CSA racing licence ... based on his entry he had to have a licence otherwise the whole systems fall through the carpet!!! Secondly if he has a CSA licence, that means he in not banned for 2008 at CSA, otherwise is he is banned at CSA and still has a valid CSA licence then the system at CSA fails!! Hence why I ask Carinus to rather answer the question around his licence!! BTW he also has a valid Winningtime Chip!!
  4. HR exactly my point .. there are too many speculation around AO ... You quote "if he is banned"; is his name actually on the CSA website confirming this? Can we get Carinus to confirm this? cos if he is banned, how did he get a licence from CSA?? Unless I see concrete proof about someone; I do not pass any judgement based on hearsay of speculation!!!KlapperKnop2008-09-17 11:07:24
  5. As a neutral cyclist on this TOPIC, I have the following to say. The debate was the other day about having seeding according to ability and not age; why the VSS category etc. etc. AO showed that he has the ability to race in the VSS cat! In my opnion, I do not know AO personally, but if AO paid his entry fee to race in the VSS category, the other competitors had an opportunity to object racing against him; Further more, I come also from other disciplines which includes Radio Control. In AO case; although he initially did not join the VSS; because of the organisers accepting his entry fee for D2D and allocating him a VSS number; he is eligible for the prize money but not the SERIES points .. which I would believe is the case. Other hubbers may argue that AO is a cheat; banned etc. etc. Point of the fact for D2D is that his race entry was valid and he was eligible for the prize money ... Lets move on!!!
  6. CSA is more the body for registered license racers. Why would CSA needs to keep an index system of all 35000 Argus entries for example?? whereas a timing company has no issue keeping a database of results ...
  7. Cause Winningtime is primarily Western Cape events and all PnP sponsored events (Argus, 94.7, OFM, Amashova etc.), whereas Championchip is Durban/Gauteng mainly .... Bottom line, both are companies, driven by their bottom line!!! ($$$$$)
  8. Husky, I do believe that Cyclelab uses Championchip's results to derive at their seeding system .. average of best 3 races ... PPA I would think uses Winningtime's results ...
  9. I just hope that the Management of Astana does not favour Lance to win races, but Alberto Contador .... I hope Lance is more in the Astana team to lift the Astana team?
  10. XTC OKE ...
  11. Ok again let see ....
  12. Okay Pantani, you are right, let see?
  13. Pantani you should give us medical advice not Grammar classes!! KlapperKnop2008-09-08 11:10:45
  14. Speedi is still a KID!!! He believes he can have adult conversation; but fail as he irritates people on the hub. He started firstly with that <1K DIY light; then he moans about everybody else's prices and even misquote out of context; e.g. last I advertised a set of FULCRUM SUPER LIGHTS (for a friend of mine) for 15K; CWC had it new for 29K; Speedi (Know it all) comes and replies why should someone want to buy the FSL wheels for 17K when u can get some Eastons EC90 for 14K price; https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=28558&KW=fulcrum https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=32327&KW= Then the other day he caught himself by selling a BB and it turns out that most hubbers told him that his price was too high; the brat turns around and basically claims "take it ir leave it" I always taught I am wrong in judging him; but I see there are more hubbers feeling like I do! Boetie, gaan speel met jou albasters!!!! KlapperKnop2008-09-08 11:09:29
  15. Looks very nice Zakar ....
  16. Find the polar 725x to be easier to mount and to read (whilst on the bike) than my Garmin 305 ... (I am a on-road cyclist) Also the fact that the Garmin/GPS gets lost at chappies in the Argus tour.
  17. Your friend is correct it is Z$ and not USA$ ...
  18. suppose SPARROW never had a podium finish in the ladies hence why she does not give her name in her profile!!! ONLY cowards do not give their real name ... as it is easier to shoot into the dark without a name!!
  19. Amazing how some WP cyclists are; moaning about R2K per year for racing! Yet the same cyclsits, I bet you, has the best cycling components on their bikes? So spending the huge $$ at components is not a problem ... Yeah sure, your earning potential is much better in Gauteng than WP; but life is about choices!!!
  20. R2K for fitness per year should be considered very minimal .... You are only paying R80 per race (very cheap IMHO) check the Gauteng race entry fees! Compare to any other sport/hobbies and you will see that R2K is not so bad.
