  1. All my orders from USA took long ... some of the goods only arrived between 6-8 weeks .... Customs is also getting to clever to check every parcel that enters RSA ..... and the reality is you just have to wait!!!
  2. and if CWC open in JHB .. he sure will make more money!!!
  3. If it is on the big chainring ... i would not bother to replace it .... there are enough teeth to pull the chain!
  4. nok have you tried another wheelset? and is the noise then gone?
  5. headset you will hear from the headset and when climbing out of the saddle .... saddle noises you hear when climbing as slow speeds (especially on the saddles rails)
  6. nok ... this may sound weird, but what type of cranks do you use? If it is chainrings with bolts; make sure that they are as tight as can be ... KlapperKnop2008-08-03 13:33:09
  7. nok ... is this under load? or just normal pedalling? is not possibly a spoke tension? is the cassette tight on the hubbody? no crack spacers? is the axle not damage? (this you could easily see on the cones if it is rubbing more on a certain spot)
  8. Speed Devil ... Admin is right to remove such a topic ... It can signal a negative statement internationally coming from a SA website ... Sastre could even sue this website!!
  9. RH, as much as I read does not need a lead out, has to have a proper train to the finishing line ..... look at the one stage where he had to fight for a wheel and was pushed out about 3 times.
  10. I would think that RH was marked by the other sprinters this year; as he surprised most sprinters last year ... secondly his wife gave birth just before the tour started ....thirdly he is a SPRINTER!!! and I do believe that all the other sprinters have lifted their game for the tour ... common not even Robbie Mc Ewen could do anything, even Thor Hushovd did not feature as much as he did last year...... Check Mark Cavindish next year .. I am sure he will be a marked man by the sprinters ....KlapperKnop2008-07-28 06:21:42
  11. Fand .. depending on the route profile .... hilly course ... 12/25 ... really flat race like H2H ... 11/21
  12. awesome pics MT ....
  13. I think it was in bad taste from Whackhead ... after all Robbie is in a prestige tour!
  14. everything in GOLD and BLACK with RED pedals ... how could you forget to get BLACK only carbon pedals???
  15. sorry man the Rugby in 1995 ... KlapperKnop2008-07-15 02:51:09
  16. See how the French people support any of their French Cyclists in the tour leading the race; even just in a break!!! KlapperKnop2008-07-15 01:16:52
  17. The irony is when SA won the World Cup in 1994 .... how did the SA react??? This is the same feeling I have with RH and JL in the TdF .... why does hubbers want to compare SA to the international front? Common .. give RH and JL the benefit; they deserver the recognition just being at TdF reagardless there result in the tour!!!
  18. Paarl should be Herman Kroff Cycles .. I think they in the Main Road Paarl ..
  19. I get your point Willehond ... I just hope JL remains as humble as he is? and wish him all the luck for his future international career.
  20. Willehond ... no arguement about RH being in the spotlight as he is known to the international arena ... but hell .. SA has their 2nd cyclist in a prestige event which I would think that JL should also get the same exposure here in SA as RH!!!
  21. Fair comment Willehond ... but at the start of the tour; most radio stations sports bulletins were around RH only ... no mention of JL ... my comment about JL superceding RH is as an overall cyclist JL is going 2 better ... There is just so much hype around RH in SA... just my 5c
  22. Why comparing with riders such as Ricardo and Andy ... I mean here we have a Kimberly cyclist doing his "dream" tour (first ever) and is doing very well in my books .... Ricardo just came off the Giro d Italia (2nd); comeon wait n see what JL is going to develop into ... to me miles better that RH!
  23. Give credit where it is due .... JL is really impressing for his first tour .... and yet we as South Africans are not giving the support he deserves! Yes Robbie Hunter has been at international scene for a while; but JL is making me and South Africa proud!!!
