  1. Ok, The preload is on its max. the sag is more then the prescribed. The rebound is too fast(Pogo stick) even with the adjuster set to the slowest setting. I need this bike to do two things. CX(MTN Barberton/Sabie) and more aggressive trial riding(Mankele Avalanche) I think I am a bit heavy for the current internals.
  2. I have a 2010 Gaint ReignX1(bought in 2012) and I would like change a few things to the fork. I would like to try a thinker oil and or stiffer springs. The adjustment is not really noticeable now. (i am a bit heavier then the average cyclist...) The fork fitted - Fox 36 Vanilla R, 160mm suspension fork Where do you take your forks to be serviced and set up?
  3. This is awesome! I will be in for the next one!

  6. Entry sent .... now to loose that pesky 10kg and gain those climbing legs!
  7. I so want to do this!!! So does a team entry consist of 2 people? if you have a mechanic that would like to join how does that work?(he will not ride but spanner after hours)
  8. Its amazing when you reach the end you really have a sense of achievement even when you ride the whole day! a great ride with good mates! Roll on 2013 and roll of a few pounds, this should help with the hills next year!!
  9. Have a look at here www.obike.co.za
  10. I will be doing it with Rooiwillie and Andre(the GM) we are a bit behind in our training schedule... like 2years behind! its gonna be a long day!
  11. I saw a board in a pub that said 'Q'- here and my name starts with a Q so i though cool... (seemed like a good idea at the time!)
  12. i aint wearing a sign on my back that says - Q-->here...
  13. I had an idea that being of the bigger(fat) nature i wanted somthing that i could jump off or over everything. Something that would be bombproof of sorts... Sadly my skill and nerve has yet to be developed to test this... Giant Raign X1 160mm front and 170mm rear travel. I added a contact switch remote seat post when i purchased it. SO now i just need to ride more. This is now my only bike(off road anyway) i ride it up hill and down, the latter being more fun! oh and by the way this was the only pic i could find right away, this was the day i got it(that why its in a office)
  14. Had a good giggle at that comment! nice one!
  15. Hey! Not sure if anyone asked this before... Why don't we have a CM ride in Pretoria? i would love to go for a spin past oom Paul and the gang or where ever just for the hell of it one evening! Who would be interested?

  18. Hey!! Looks awesome!! Congrats and hope you have fun on it!!! The mod on looks a lot better then the original! If you look at the newer models I think they went your route!! Now get some dirt on those wheels!! Q
  19. HI there Can the travel on a Reba SL ( 2009/10 model) be changed from 80mm to 100mm or even 120mm? if so how and who does this? Then, who would be the best people to take the unit to for a service in the Pretoria area?
  20. Hi there A friend of mine has a 9year old son that needs to get a bike. He is 1.4m tall. He is not sure what to buy, the firstthing he mentioned was that being kids the bike will be there just to ride around in the neighbourhood and to school(closely) and might be dropped on the grass without much regard and so on... we had a chat and the following questions came up - Do you buy a bigger bike sothat he grows into it or do you buy a bike that he would use now and upgradelater? - What is available to buy thatwould not cost you an arm and a leg but is fairly durable? They looked at a bike at game(yes that was my reaction as well) but bear in mind that he is not a cyclist and so he asked me(not that i am one really) anyway!!! So what is out there? your comments would be much appreciated
