  1. That would be route R328 towards Oudtshoorn.. Another road bike route would be the Herbertsdale road. From the N2 - outside Mosselbay - towards CT, turn right towards Herbertsdale.

  4. As I said earlier - fell, got up, dusted off, laughed - and carried on. Where else can one have soooo much fun as with cycling in all its forms!

  6. Ok' date=' I misunderstood the merit part - thought it was the most creative posts or something like that. Not the person who can talk the most crap. Maybe because I missed the first competition. Anyway I think Holy's headline posts were brilliant and he's endorsing Virgo, so that's where my vote will go (even though he unfairly disqualified me yesterday ).[/quote'] Thank you, that is soooo swwweeet! Thank you BOTH - I dig you the most!
  7. Cytomax, that would be a good idea, but ... Anyway, this Argus would be my first one, too, so I'm very excited! Slysi, I know that feeling too. It really feels weird on the road bike. Besides the funny gears ( at least at first ;-)), I got a flat the first time I went out on the road bike! Never had a flat with the MTB before and did not find it amusing at all. But, it still makes for good fun. Looking forward to seeing all the "new" Argus riders there. Maybe some of you will be in the same group as myself.
  8. How many votes per hubber?
  9. Is that Cape Point or Hout Bay? You are mean! But I like your bike!! Almost joined you in "heaven" this weekend, but the in-law family from the Karoo is coming to the sea - and I have to be here
  10. Wish I lived in CT ... Good places to ride, nice people, training with people... Really should move back. Hope the ladies appreciate your efforts.
  11. Oh, no! That's really bad news - especially this time of the year. Really sorry to hear that, Kansas. Good luck.
  12. What kind of help?
  13. I have a "male" mtb and a "female" roadbike and quite frankly prefer the mtb. I'm 1,71m and obviously not short. Not sure if that plays a role, but best thing would be to let her try out different fits. Torso and leg lengths can make a difference. Good luck.
  14. Goosebumps when reading this. Sincerest condolences to family and friends.
  15. That is true. And Tygerbergmtb-club works really hard at maintaining, as well as building new trails. As well as offer you the opportunity to make real friends who shares your passion - especially when moving to a new place. I agree that some clubs can improve (I share the sentiments with some other hubbers that all clubs are not equal), however, the aforementioned club is an active club that will pull you in if that is what you want to do. By the sound of it, you would like to become part of a group who does exactly that. There's always someone willing to ride with a newcomer and show them the trails, etc. I live far from there, but when I go to CT, I contact them and they're still willing to help me. Some of the other clubs in that area want you to become a member before anything happens. Not these "friends". You can be as active as you want to be. A lot of the guys also do road riding - therefore plenty of scope for that too. Go and enjoy - if I'm very lucky, I might be in "Majic Forest" next weekend. AWESOME!!
  16. Are you the lucky one who won the Jeep & Mtb at some race(can not remember wich one) Oh, Kansas, unfortunately not. Those things always happen to other people. Had to acquire both the hard way.
  17. VINCENTH, I think I like you. Not only did you speak a lot of truths (although I felt like I needed to defend my buddies) , but you certainly have a sense of humour. I hereby invite you to join the ranks of mountainbikers who are the most awesome group of people. (I like roadies too ;-) Try it - I bet you'll love the experience. It will take you to places your MG unfortunately can't, and is much easier to fix. Maybe then you can write the blog on behalf of mtb?? Come on - do it - you know you want to.
  18. Without humour, life would be so boring. Jeeptrack is right - mtb = tygerberg mtb-club.
  19. Mountainbike club or road club?
  20. Maybe he should get a Jeep. That way he will cheer up. I have a Jeep and a mtb and I am a happy person.
  21. thank you very much
  22. Nice! I'm jealous ... (in a good way ;-D)
